1. THE COMPETITION
1.1 The promoter and organiser of this competition is Jagex Limited of 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA (" Jagex ", “ us ” or “ we ”). These terms and conditions govern the legal relationship between Jagex and you (referred to in these terms and conditions as “you”, “yours” or “Entrant”) in relation to the competition.
1.2 Please read these terms and conditions carefully, and in particular clause 7.3 , 7.4 and 7.5 regarding how we will handle your personal data in relation to the competition.
1.3 The title of the competition is the 2021 6 Jads Challenge/’Memeiest’ Jad Challenge.
1.4 There are two parts to this competition:
1.4.1 The 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge : entrants must enter and complete the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge by killing 6 TzTok-Jad creatures. The top three (3) fastest entrants will win OldSchool RuneScape membership. Any entrant (excluding the top three entrants with the fastest times) who successfully kills 6 TzTok-Jad creatures during the competition will be entered into a prize draw to win OldSchool RuneScape membership and a King Black Dragon building block set.
1.4.2 The Memeiest Jad Challenge : entrants must stream the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge set out at paragraph 1.4.1. The most entertaining (or ‘Memeiest’) submission will receive OldSchool RuneScape membership.
1.5 All information detailed on any of Jagex websites (including but not limited to jagex.com, www.runescape.com and www.oldschool.runescape.com, hereafter referred to as “ Jagex Websites ”), digital platforms, games or apps or published in any of our newsletters in relation to the entry requirements for this competition form part of these terms. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between that information and these competition terms, the specific competition terms and conditions will prevail.
1.6 Facebook (or any other social media site) do not endorse or sponsor any competitions hosted by Jagex and we are not affiliated with Facebook in any way (or any other social media site).
2. RULES FOR THE 6 TZTOK-JAD CHALLENGE
2.1 To compete in the 6 TzTok-Jad challenge, you must complete the 6TzTok-Jad challenge in OldSchool RuneScape between the Opening Date and the Closing Date.
2.2 The time for the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge begins to run automatically once you click to begin the 6 Jad Challenge and ends as soon as the 6th TzTok-Jad’s health falls to 0. The time is automatically tracked by Jagex during your attempt.
2.3 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be allocated to the players with the fastest three times recorded, respectively.
2.4 In the event of an apparent draw, milliseconds will be used to determine any difference between two or more times. In the unlikely event that two times are exactly the same, the entrants with the matching times shall all be entitled to the relevant prize for their placing.
2.5 Any entrant to completes the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge, regardless of the time taken, before the Closing Date will be eligible for the prize draw process (" Prize Draw Pool ").
2.6 No fee is required to enter the Prize Draw Pool.
2.7 Within 7 days following the Closing Date (unless specified otherwise by Jagex in writing), competition winners will be randomly selected from the Prize Draw Pool by way of a random number generator.
2.8 Details verifying the randomised selection from the Prize Draw Pool will be provided in accordance with the winner details in paragraph 7.
3. RULES FOR THE MEMEIEST JAD CHALLENGE
3.1 To be considered for the Memeiest Jad Challenge, entrants must stream or record their attempts at the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge and submit it to Jagex as set out in these competition terms.
3.2 Entries received before the Closing Date will be judged by a panel of three judges.
3.3 The judges, based on the submissions they believe to be the most entertaining, unique, or skilled entries, will rank the top three winning entries they have received.
3.4 The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.
3.5 A list of names of the judges can be requested by emailing [email protected] or by writing to us at: Competitions Team, 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA.
4. HOW TO ENTER
4.1 The competition will run from 00:01 GMT on 3 March 2021 (the “ Opening Date ”) to 23:59 GMT on 17 March 2021 (the “ Closing Date ”) inclusive.
4.2 All competition entries must be received by Jagex by no later than 23:59 GMT on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
4.3 No purchase is necessary to enter the competition and there is no charge to register for use of a Jagex Website.
4.4 In order to enter the competition, entrants can submit their entries by:
4.4.1 For the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge:
4.4.1.1 Provided you agree to these terms, your time will be automatically recorded when you begin the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge in-game, and you will be automatically entered into the prize draw on completion of the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge and you are not one of the three fastest times.
4.4.2 For the Memeiest Jad Challenge:
4.4.2.1 Sharing a copy of your entry through Twitch, Facebook, Reddit, a Jagex operated Discord server or Instagram, provided you include the hashtag #6JadsChallenge; or
4.4.2.2 Sending your entry via on suitable storage media via post to: Competitions Team, Jagex Limited, 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA by the Closing Date: or
4.4.2.3 Sending entry via email to: [email protected] with the subject line: Six Jad Challenge by the closing date.
4.5 Any entry must include an in-game video of the challenge being completed, which must include your player character, inventory and your in-game username.
4.6 All entries must be accompanied by your name, address and either a telephone number or email address.
4.7 Jagex will not accept:
4.7.1 responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
4.7.2 proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
4.8 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

5. ELIGIBILITY

5.1.1 employees of Jagex or its holding or subsidiary companies;
5.1.2 employees of agents or suppliers of Jagex or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or;
5.1.3 members of the immediate families or households of paragraphs 5.1 and 5.1.2 above.
5.2 If you are based outside of the Competition Jurisdiction, or your jurisdiction has legal or regulatory rules that invalidate these terms or make Jagex’s performance of them impossible, Jagex will not accept your competition entry and you will be deemed to have been automatically disqualified from it.
5.3 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Jagex may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition and reserves the right to disqualify any non-eligible entrant to does not eligible to enter the competition.
5.4 Jagex will not accept competition entries that are:
5.4.1 automatically generated by computer;
5.4.2 completed by third parties or in bulk;
5.4.3 illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
5.4.4 photocopies and not originals; or
5.4.5 incomplete.
5.5 There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
5.6 Jagex reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
5.7 Competition entries cannot be returned.
6. THE PRIZE
6.1 Prizes for the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge are:
6.1.1 For the three fastest times: 12 months of OldSchool RuneScape membership and a King Black Dragon building block set.
6.1.2 For the winner of the Prize Draw Pool: 3 months of OldSchool RuneScape membership.
6.2 Prize for the Memeiest Jad Challenge: 6 months of OldSchool RuneScape membership.
6.3 Jagex reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Jagex’s control makes it necessary to do so.
6.4 Prizes are subject to availability. Jagex reserves the right to substitute the prize with a cash alternative to the value of £200, or to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
6.5 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
6.6 In order to claim the prize, you must provide us with your contact details, including your in-game details.
7. WINNERS
7.1 The decision of Jagex and the judges nominated by Jagex is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
7.2 Jagex will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. Jagex will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.
7.3 Jagex must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Jagex will publish the surname and county of major prize winners (and if applicable, their winning entries) on a Jagex Website on 29 March 2021 (" Announcement Date ").
7.4 In addition to clause 7.3, within one month of the Closing Date of the competition, anyone can request information of the major prize winners by emailing [email protected] or writing to: Competitions Team, Jagex Limited, 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA.
7.5 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Jagex by emailing [email protected] or writing to: Competitions Team, Jagex Limited, 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA. In such circumstances, Jagex must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. Please see our privacy policy for further information regarding this.
8. CLAIMING THE PRIZE
8.1 If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 14 of days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by following the instructions set out in paragraph 6.6. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim to the prize will become invalid.
8.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
8.3 Jagex will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within 14 of days of the Announcement Date, Jagex reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
8.4 Jagex does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, Jagex, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Jagex, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10. OWNERSHIP OF COMPETITION ENTRIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
10.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to Jagex will become the property of Jagex on receipt and will not be returned.
10.2 You agree that Jagex may, but is not required to, make your entry available on any Jagex Website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant Jagex a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
11. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
11.1 Jagex will only process your personal information as set out in its privacy policy. See also paragraphs 7.3 and 7.5, with regard to the announcement of winners.
12. GENERAL
12.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Jagex may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
12.2 Jagex reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so, including if any law or regulation is inconsistent with these terms or where any law or regulation makes Jagex’s performance of these terms impossible, unlawful, illegal or unethical.
12.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Jagex may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition and reserves the right to disqualify any non-eligible entrant to does not eligible to enter the competition.
5.4 Jagex will not accept competition entries that are:
5.4.1 automatically generated by computer;
5.4.2 completed by third parties or in bulk;
5.4.3 illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
5.4.4 photocopies and not originals; or
5.4.5 incomplete.
5.5 There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
5.6 Jagex reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
5.7 Competition entries cannot be returned.
6. THE PRIZE
6.1 Prizes for the 6 TzTok-Jad Challenge are:
6.1.1 For the three fastest times: 12 months of OldSchool RuneScape membership and a King Black Dragon building block set.
6.1.2 For the winner of the Prize Draw Pool: 3 months of OldSchool RuneScape membership.
6.2 Prize for the Memeiest Jad Challenge: 6 months of OldSchool RuneScape membership.
6.3 Jagex reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond Jagex’s control makes it necessary to do so.
6.4 Prizes are subject to availability. Jagex reserves the right to substitute the prize with a cash alternative to the value of £200, or to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
6.5 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
6.6 In order to claim the prize, you must provide us with your contact details, including your in-game details.
7. WINNERS
7.1 The decision of Jagex and the judges nominated by Jagex is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
7.2 Jagex will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. Jagex will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.
7.3 Jagex must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Jagex will publish the surname and county of major prize winners (and if applicable, their winning entries) on a Jagex Website on 29 March 2021 (" Announcement Date ").
7.4 In addition to clause 7.3, within one month of the Closing Date of the competition, anyone can request information of the major prize winners by emailing [email protected] or writing to: Competitions Team, Jagex Limited, 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA.
7.5 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Jagex by emailing [email protected] or writing to: Competitions Team, Jagex Limited, 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA. In such circumstances, Jagex must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. Please see our privacy policy for further information regarding this.
8. CLAIMING THE PRIZE
8.1 If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 14 of days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by following the instructions set out in paragraph 6.6. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim to the prize will become invalid.
8.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
8.3 Jagex will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within 14 of days of the Announcement Date, Jagex reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
8.4 Jagex does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, Jagex, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Jagex, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
10. OWNERSHIP OF COMPETITION ENTRIES AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
10.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to Jagex will become the property of Jagex on receipt and will not be returned.
10.2 You agree that Jagex may, but is not required to, make your entry available on any Jagex Website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant Jagex a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
11. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
11.1 Jagex will only process your personal information as set out in its privacy policy. See also paragraphs 7.3 and 7.5, with regard to the announcement of winners.
12. GENERAL
12.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Jagex may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
12.2 Jagex reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so, including if any law or regulation is inconsistent with these terms or where any law or regulation makes Jagex’s performance of these terms impossible, unlawful, illegal or unethical.
12.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
