Why wasn't this private server-esque encampment with a bank affecting content throughout the wilderness polled?
Why aren't integrity issues like the state of revenants, both the caves themselves and their droptables, and bounty hunter addressed? Shouldn't that take priority?
I'm pretty dissapointed with this update. The thing looks atrocious and is a VERY bad way to fix some of the problems seen with PVP. I really feel this is an eyesore for the Wilderness, my absolute FAVORITE area of the game, and doesn't fix anything except add a bank/safespot to the lower wildy (which I agree was nessecary but VERY poorly excecuted).
Whatever happened to Jagex' commitment to low footprint updayes except in areas like Darkmeyer which were black squares in '07? This could have very easily been moved underground with a scrying mechanic to see outside the exits.
Also the throwbacks to the main game (lumby bridge, varrock square) are unnessecary and alienating. Sorry if I'm ranting a bit but this was really so easy to add a low footprint safezone with a bank and somehow it got royally screwwed up into this. Now I have to pretend this isn't here when I do PVP.

The more I examine this new area, the more i realize how little effort was actually put into the development of this content. Turning our lovely game into "Grand Theft Auto" is not the answer.

I'm sure a large amount of players these days don't know/remember The Old Nite, and I'm certain a vast majority of those that do, didn't actually know him on an overly personal level. But he was a very kind man and a well respected original player of runescape. He was an online friend of mine that I met pretty much still as a noob, and yet he was kind enough to be friends with me even though he was a maxed out runescape god at that point. He helped me a lot in the beginning of this game, and I owed him a debt I'll never be able to repay.
I don't know the reason for creating the pub in his character's name, but I certainly appreciate and give major props and respect to the homage of such a great man. It really struck a heart string seeing that in the update today. I'll always have him in my friends group, even though he'll unfortunately never log on again.
I'm sure it's safe to say that on behalf of those that knew him well, Thank You for the thoughtful homage. It did not go unnoticed.
Very well said in everything you said.I didnt know him or even play in his time but i had heard about him after getting into the game.I also thought it was a nice touch by Jagex naming the pub in his name
For a game that was meant to be about PvP & over the course of eight years that has seen minimal PvP updates, there sure seems to be a lot of entitled posts here.
Really, a week without a Slayer or Quest update is going to ruin the game for you that much?

Love the update. Please don't listen to the people who don't like it because it was not polled. These same people would never vote yes for anything PVP out of spite. On a side note it would be nice for f2p to have the ability to change the respawn point to inside Ferox.
