Re-work Trawler like has been suggested numerous amounts of times instead of offering another way to get it. When doing trawler, you are forced to give up a good amount of XP and in return you get an outfit that will boost it in the future. Now, you're allowing people to get a decent amount of xp, as well as the outfit, for less than half the total cost of the "fish sack" item which is purely cosmetic. On top of that, you're increasing the rates that you get the pearls to make it even quicker? Why??
Giving an option to sell a "rare" cosmetic back for 100 pearls without releasing the drop rate of it seems a bit silly. How much is selling it and getting others going to increase the speed at which you can now buy the Angler Outfit? I got one after like 300 fish. Even if it's 1/1k, you'd be averaging 110 pearls per 1000 catches, assuming 1/100 pearl rate. This will take practically no time at all.
It's not like trawler is completely dead like Trouble Brewing is; it just needs tweaking in order to be a bit better. Making this change will quite literally make it the new Trouble Brewing.


Regarding Hydra, I am very surprised that the jar and heads weren't available upon release. People with hundreds and thousands of kills already now have to be expected to go back and grind more when these should've been obvious additions to the table, following nearly every other slayer boss.
Why do we need an agility shortcut when it's as simple as running through a single combat area and taking a maximum 2 hits.
If you want to take a look at moving that statue that's right in the way of the jump obstacle, by all means, that would be amazing, but an agility shortcut? Nah, that ain't it.

I agree with a lot of these changes, but you've got to be kidding with the proposal for the hydra tail? If you're going to drop the alch value then buff the necklace?

There is nothing wrong with the bonecrusher necklace. It's actually quite a useful necklace to train prayer now, but it certainly lacks offensive stats. Please can you at least buff this bonecrusher necklace to a power amulet to glory amulet level.

The dragonbone necklace is locked behind a boss that requires Ds2 completion, and decent gear to effectively kill it for a chance for the drop.

The hydra tail requires level 95 slayer to kill them for the drop. And the bonecrusher requires hard diary, and the elite diary to be used to its full potential.

Are you seriously considering of devaluing a new drop for the sake of a stupid lame ammo slot idea? Cmon guys?!

This shouldn't be a "feel the need to explore other options should it not pass" idea. You could already be exploring options whilst this little idea doesn't even go to the polls.

It's like voting a no for the carbon tax.

Now, when you actually read this, my points all sound like they are validated behind data on the web. Not some skew eyed view of the game in a resentful way.

terrible poll if you think thats the problems. you missing the pount 95 slayer. end game the last slayer monster.

ring needs buffing, dag kings rings can be imbued once again 3 pieces needed for this end game ring make it lower then imbue it so its bis not dag rings.

lance is a pos, rather use hasta on drags too. pointless from once again end game.

ya ariel fishing exp a joke rather do separate keep ya pointless gold fish.

herbs are a joke, bones like how many bones we need make it 1xp nomone cares we use d bones fine. lets note them .. gonna be another vork, drops pointless but good alchs

loads missed on this poll, dont worry aboyt your ironman droptable. the nerf ruined that too.

now the economy is cray. slayer helm good but vorkath still look the same

dbone necklace needs a boost let alone the rest. it was dead content so your about to do it again i dont get it man

ds2 and vork and 80 prayer just for necklace

95 slayer for tail.

you wanna give us lower alch and ammo slot...

we either pick something we dont want or need or make it a 50k drop from end boss... make the alch value 5m

I don't agree with a lot of your comments.

1. The blog does state that getting Anglers through aerial fishing will be slower than doing fishing trawler even with the increased catch rate of pearls. Jagex still wants you to go to fishing trawler to get Anglers although they are considering releasing an additional albeit slower method of receiving the outfit.

2. Considering good players can stay at hydra for over 30 minutes, I hardly think a 30 second shortcut will be game breaking. This also provides a safe route for people who die at hydra and disconnect while running to the retrieve their items. I think it is a worthy shortcut that will have a minor if any impact on kill times.

3. You were right with your first comment about favor saying it should have been like this from the beginning. Where you go wrong is the woe me, new players shouldn't have it because I didn't have it mentality. As stated in the blog, this change will align more closely with the lore that the houses work together and help each other out. This is no different than the Zulrah change that was made years later, it is how it should be and therefore it should be changed.

I am kinda split on this idea. I would like to see some stats on the bonecrusher necklace, I think glory would be far to strong, power sounds more in line with what it could be.

I actually really like the ammo slot idea. I would gladly give up my +1 prayer blessing for a bonecrusher in my ammo slot. Saves me the necklace spot and an inventory spot which for me is far better than the necklace could have ever been. We'll have to see where things go on this one.

Regarding point 1:
Trawler offers little experience per hour and takes on average roughly 10-15 hours (entirely rng based) to get the set. This new method would destroy Trawler, as you can now get decent xp while also getting a great xp boosting set too. Why go to an rng location when you can get it guaranteed in roughly the same amount of time?

Regarding point 2:
It's not game breaking, it's just not necessary. We don't need a shortcut, and anyone with 95 slayer should not be dying on their way back even w/o armour/food. You could literally disconnect anywhere else in the game as well on your way back to get items and die, but we don't just add shortcuts to those places.

Regarding point 3:
The miniquest exists, and does the proposed change. Lore is there.

The blowpipe is unbalanced...



They should quit buffing things to be in line with Blowpipe. It's clearly an integrity issue and needs a nerf.
