I personally dislike the new grayed out skills tab very much. I understand the goal was to make clearer what skills are f2p, but someone can achieve that same information by simply clicking on the skill and reading the headline which clear as day says "Members Only." I don't think the redundancy of the grayed out skills tab is necessary and actually makes the aesthetics worse. It gives more of a feeling that the game is blocking and withholding you from doing stuff whereas if they were all filled in there was more of an inclusive feeling of getting the whole game, even though there still was membership available. All I'm saying is that when I look at it, it gives off the cheap and tacky feeling of those horrible mobile "demos" where everything is grayed or blacked out and it shuts you out after 15 minutes. I don't want that kind of presentation for OSRS and I'd like to get other people's opinion on that matter. I know it was literally just introduced, but I'd really like the team to
deeply
reconsider their decision in this manner. It also
negatively
affects those of us who were previously members but are not anymore. Not being able to see our XP for members skills or even get to see the nice numbers we worked so many hours to achieve brightly lit even further adds to that feeling of withholding content and being locked behind a pay wall. I played for hours and hours on end to get skill levels I was happy with and to not be able to clearly see those numbers when not a member is an issue for me. As said previously, the information of it being a members skill is already present by clicking the skill itself. It does not need to be any more clear than that and how it is now hurts the presentation more than it helps it. A suggestion I can provide on how to address my complaints but still retain your goal of making it clearer for new players would be to revert back to the old UI, with all skills and XP visible, but add a line of red text or an * when over it.
