The thing I find most unappealing is the transparency honestly...just seems off compared to the rest.

yeah, it's really not going to look that good with any of the items in the game

at least the staff of darkness is kind of matched up with lots of the typical gear, since red and black is always a theme

like ahrim's, mage's book, black mystic, zammy cape etc.

A ghostly staff goes perfectly w/ Ahrims robes, the undead Barrows brother ghost.
