Making this free to everyone will be a very good idea, think...

Someone looking for a phone game, which I myself find myself doing quite often as still to this day I've not found one I play for long.

They see Runescape, something they used to play many years ago is now available on their mobile.

The amount of people this will bring back to the game will be insane!

Hi all!

All I can say is ‘wow’. We launched the members beta earlier today with an install cap which basically doubled the number of players who had access already. Well we hit that cap very early. So we met to discuss what we’d like to do and we opted to increase the cap. We then hit the cap and increased it again, ending up with us trebling the amount of installs.

We have just hit the install cap (again), and I can inform you that there will not be any increase until tomorrow. We need to take stock of what we’re seeing, assess the stability of the build, and then meet to decide our next steps. I do fully expect us to increase the cap further.

For now, I’d like to thank all of you. The positivity shown towards the Android test has been incredible, and the mobile team are thrilled at being able to see so many of you enjoy the game and provide feedback for them. Equally the understanding you’re showing behind the lack of iOS test is incredible. Thank you! We’re at a point where we have almost 100,000 players able to play on Mobile. That is immense!

We’ll keep you informed of the test’s progress. Thank you (another one) for your patience. We appreciate it, and we’re so excited to be bringing you OSRS Mobile. Until tomorrow! (For ‘official comms’ anyway, I’ll be on hand to answer Qs and troubleshoot).

Im very disappointed with the open beta for android. Only so many downloads available and can only be used by members BUT you let all the f2p players download aswell. You should have had them sign in to memebers or send out invites to only member accounts. I have been playing runescape since late 02 and have been following the posts about mobile and have been bery excited about this and have not gotten an invite to test or try the beta.

Many people posted on runescape pages that theyve downloaded osrs mobile on about 5 different android devices they have and have ruined it for all of us that didnt get the chance to even have it once.

When will you be opening more spots to download??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Unfortunately I must show my disappointment too....I was with huge expectations about the day that I will be able to log in with mobile, and for my surprise I can't do the download due capacity limit and don't got the chance because I was working/sleeping at the time that released. Well, as said, anyone was able to download it even ppl that will not use (f2players, ppl with multiple devices that got the news early).

I really expect that you guys increase the cap or use some kind of invitantion to give the chance of other players to enjoy this new and awesome update.

By the way, great job creating a mobile version!! And please, give the chance for everyone to play this new feature!

Hi guys first time running OSRS Mobile and I must say what an excellent job you have all down, this long awaited release was certainly worth waiting. One question I would like to ask if will the xp I gain on mobile stay on my account and will it dissapear? Could you please let me know, thank you

The XP will not disappear and will continue on your account

Just installed the android app and I have to say I'm really amazed by how smooth things are working, however I found a couple of issues that should be fixed before releasing the official app.

Required casting runes.
Right now I don't think there is an option to "hover" over a certain spell and view the runes and level
required to cast the spell, I also can't find this information in the magic skill guide (only the required level). As an experienced player this might not seem like a big deal but I can imagine it would be really confusing for new players.

World select interface.
When "hovering" a world (when the tooltip is being displayed) and then clicking a different world doesn't work as expected, the world that displayed the tooltip ends up being the selected world.
This might be an issue with my specific device so here are some details:
Model: Nexus 7 (FLO)
Android version: 7.0
