Mobile isn't content development. Fossil Island is, which is why it was in the content update. The engine team are working around the clock to make the Beta as successful as possible. It isn't something to rush. Yes, we said 2017, but after getting it in the hands of staff (and players at some events), it's clear that it was not ready. Community Manager for Old School RuneScape

Does that mean that it is now?
Most of the player are expecting OSRS Mobile to be launched at the end of January.

A lot of players are disappointed because it wasn’t released when promised.
Please dont make promises that you can’t make up to.. the team should have analized better before making such promises.
It’s better for the players and the company to do some good analizing and planning now a lot of players lost interest already because the waiting for a release takes to long.
I know the waiting is wel worth it, but please, don’t make these kind of promises if you can’t live up to. It happened way to many times.
Note: Please take this as advice for the future Jagex. It’s for the good of the company.

Jagex employees broadcast way in advance knowing they won’t keep to their original spew. FYI, They’ll censor any post they don’t agree with. Jagex is North Korea’s Kim jong under the covers. Mod speen, and stone- don’t make announcements fully knowing the release date will be pushed back more than half a year.

when first i saw osrs mobile will be released i quited osrs bcuz my familiy members said we will all start over together and i thought it will be released before 2018 now iam still waiting for it and can't continue playing with my main need to start over to enjoy it with all my familiy member ! lol we only have 1 computer and its mine but everyone have a mobile so much fun !!!!!!!!!!

With the OSRS Mobile closed beta closing in on us I had a couple questions.

I registered interest when the first mention of OSRS Mobile was made, I have since upgraded my phone and assigned many emails to the subscriber list just waiting for more information.

Firstly - Does it matter which email I used to register interest? I know a while back when I registered it asked me for my phones model but my more recent endeavors just have me input my email and carry on with my day.. Does the email have to be my google play email?

Secondly - If I (or anyone else for that matter) upgraded their phone since they registered is there any way for us to change which device we originally input? I did note in the Live Q&A today they said it would likely base on device if you enter into the closed beta.. I'd hate to miss such an opportunity because Jagex thinks I still use a Galaxy S7.
