The Rare Pet Question:


Yes,

There should be an Abyssal Demon pet too. However for Abyssal Demons and the Kraken there's already useless drops they give that are very rare (Abyssal Demon head and the Jar of dirt). I know you can mount the head on your house but nobody bothers. It should just require you to give x amount of that item to a nearby NPC in order to get the pet. (2-3 Jars of Dirt / 5 Abyssal Demon heads?) Maybe you could give the required items to a Slayer Master and it could also require 1-2K Slayer Points on-top of the items in order to get the pet to make it rarer? Points need more use.

This makes it a little more fair for people who have killed a lot of them since release. It's annoying to kill so many and then have something like this released and have someone get it quickly without having to previously kill many. However I guess this could be said for the other pets. But who really camps them other than the GWD bosses?

However that could just my opinion since I've killed over 3,000 Boss Krakens with the drop rate being 1:1.2k for a Tentacle or whatever it was then it being changed to 1:400 or 1:200 whatever it is now without being polled which was frustrating and now they're cheap as. Jar is 1:1k drop rate?

I think it'd be fair seeing how killing 1,000 Boss Krakens takes a long time as you have to be on task + have a high slayer level & obtain multiple jars in order to do so.

I think it would also be fair for Abyssal Demons as the head is very rare to obtain. Yeah it's easier to access and kill them but it could just require a large amount of heads to get. I don't know how many people have 5+ Abyssal Demon heads. (You will most likely have to kill about 30K Abyssal Demons @ 1:6k per head. This is about 23,850,000 Combat Xp for 5 Heads. Rare enough?)

thanks for the support and i totally agree i would also train my hunter for this. i also hope they read my other comments on some new high hunting things like elephants and monkeys for the new island. I also really hope they see the feedback this is getting and add the hunter animals as rare pets that can ether be tamed or caught hopefully added to poll. thanks

exactly.. and it is a must update.. god halo it should be the best pray bonus in game first of all.. and second it take over 100 hours for this item. and i mitre cost 200k so this will not devalue anything making it atleast 1 pray better than mitre. this must be polled in my opinion. and i will definatley get a halo if this is polled and passed please mods.

People understand how you feel but it's not going to pass a poll if it means people have to play a mini-game they don't want to play/afk at for 75+ hours in order to get the best prayer bonus for the helmet slot. Id personally vote yes for it and not care about halos because I don't enjoy Castle Wars because of the barraging. I just don't see it happening because people don't want to put the effort into playing Cwars. It does make sense though because it has low defensive stats and if you lose it then have fun playing another 75+ hours to get another one. I see it more of a cosmetic personally.

I agree with it being more of a cosmetic item. IMO it should be, since when has castlewars rewards been about best in slot items, etc?? It hasn't, at least not in oldschool.

yes it is cosmetic but it is also a the halo.. that takes over 100 hours of game play to get.. so it cannot just be a cosmetic item. it must have at least 5 pray for anyone to get it.. you can buy mitre for just 200k... and yet they wont make them as good or better than them.. it doesn't make any since. this needs to be polled at atleast 5 pray. if it is i will get one.
