Long time since I wrote anything on the forums but this update is worth it!
I will not stop paying for member, probably the reverse; start paying for more accounts. Because even for me as somewhat high level (combat) player, nothing beats good ol F2P gear pvp.
Skipping friends and family this weekend to instead visit CW in F2P worlds!

Most people I have spoken with in F2P wish they could afford membership, or had more than 5 hours of free time a month when they could play so it would be 'worth it' to purchase member.
Tl;dr
To this day I have only met one player who refused P2P, not because she did not like the game. But that she was determined to max out all skills in F2P. According to her I was cheating (jokingly/not serious) when training in P2P due to the exp rates. Altough I believe she must have hated her life very badly to actually stick to F2P all the way trough. A shoutout to Queen Essy, the player who made me stay!
Would we release updates to F2P such as Jad, Inferno, Zulrah, GWD and the loots from such updates, sure that could actually decrease the value of becoming a member. But this is Duel Arena! The last F2P update of value was the giant boss which is more of a tease of what you will find in P2P rather than devaluing membership.
Almost all of us began as F2P players, depending on if we could get away with calling from the home telephone to pay for member or not. However eventually Runescape sucks you in and you grow up to afford and become able to pay for membership yourself. There is no way to avoid this. Actually we can accelerate this by giving our dear F2P friends a nice experience (as in experiencing it, not XP).
