While I have full confidence that Jagex will deliver a rich experience on Mobile, Mod Sween can you answer the following questions?

What sort of footprint will the package have on device storage?

Will Oldschool Mobile still be restricted to its engines 50fps cap.

Will Oldschool Mobile take advantage of ARM accompanied GPUs

Also a few suggestions (which i'm not saying haven't already been thought of by the developers).
Pinch to zoom with a static finger, I feel is a must.

Withdraw 1, 5, 10, X should be an instantly appearing (separate) menu for all appropriate inventories on an item highlight basis similar to Minecraft for xbox.

Public and Private chat should be isolated to its own menu as collapsible (if the engine allows).

From the pictures presented, the buttons attached to the notification and chat area should be in their own menu (community, maybe?) and non intrusive to the game environment.

I have dreamed of this update for years on end! I am super stoked! I love Runescape and with my super busy life, I can't always sit at the computer and play. Time is super limited and i'm sure that goes for the rest of you. This is a great update and I see nothing negative about it. Super convenient as well! Great job Jagex :-D

I know I'm in the minority here, but I figure I may as well voice my opinion just for my own peace of mind.

I understand the need for Jagex to move towards the mobile app market, but you're doing so at the detriment to both of your existing games. If you must go for the cash pot that is the mobile gaming industry, please at least create a separate game that doesn't ruin the games you already sell to us.

Adding the ability to access OSRS and RS3 from a mobile device from anywhere at any time de-values the progress that so many dedicated members have worked towards for over a decade in some cases. A big part of the challenge of high-level play and skilling is the fact that you have to be on your PC or laptop. Now that anyone will be able to idly click trees, rocks, or fishing spots at work, school, or out shopping, a skill like 99 woodcutting, fishing, crafting, fletching, mining, smithing, etc. means absolutely nothing. AFK and idling activities will become an easy path to 99. All the work that current players put in is made meaningless.

Again, I know I'm in the minority on this one. I'd love to hear some counter-arguments about this. It's funny - I remember being surveyed a lot about mobile related ideas (and I was in the minority in a lot of those surveys), but there was never really a poll asking us if we'd want this. I guess it wouldn't matter since everyone seems to just pass every idea.

idk who cares bai

This is awesome. Hope it'll play easily on older android devices.. And I hope it won't lag in crowded places. I hope we can open multiple windows of one app, to play 2 or more accs at once.. would be awesome.

Good, thanks!

@STEEZ 93TIL, hm, if you had windows on a mobile phone it'd be the same. Just the update is needed now it's been out too long, this game. Think about all of the new noobs :) that will play because of it.. When you're coming from rs2 where you've already had good stats you don't really wanna do it so much again. But if this update comes out I know it'll make it easier for me to train.. which is good.

You're absolutely correct when you say that people already do play RS on mobile devices like tablets and through programs like TeamViewer. However, the interface is clunky, it's not especially convenient in some cases, and RS is certainly not built around being played on a mobile device. I always thought it was meant to be like this for a reason. I was always under the assumption that doing things like this was generally frowned upon.

Streamlining this idea of playing RS on the go and making it more easily accessible like this does exactly what you mentioned: "make it easier for [you] to train". That, in my mind, is the exact problem with mobile RS. It makes the game easy and de-values the effort of longtime members and the hardcore player base.

With the release of the mobile app would hardware bans be considered for major offenders like botters and rwt?

(We all know the mods stance on IP bans doing nothing but hurting college dorms and the such but I was curious with the individual devices now localized to an individual would it now be considered an option?)
