Zulrah isn't anything near s bad as those god awful raids with items reaching far far over anything zulrah could ever dream of, why not try nurfing that instead since I see high elites getting drop after drop worth well over 100m for just 30mins work yet only 2m an hour at Zulrah is too much and needs fixing? Yeah I dont buy that at all.

preach it brother , aint that the damn truth

I'm very conflicted about this update. I want to say it's great, I really do, but this is bittersweet.

On the one hand, the in-game world map is fantastic (above my expectations), and coupling it with nerfing overpowered content like Zulrah, the Serpentine Helmet, and the Karamja Shop made me want to call this the second-best OSRS update of all time (behind only the construction expansion).

But the fact that these nerfs weren't polled first is concerning. It's a dangerous precedent. But even worse, the wilderness item drop update blatantly and deliberately ignores the outcome of previous poll questions (and extremely low-scoring questions at that).

I understand you want to keep building the game for the future, and that is good.

However by nerfing the Void Range outfit down to 10% (even if the set wasn't initially planned to be as powerful as it was after implemented)...you are robbing the game of a long time well established, and very important piece of the games identity.

This is still fundamentally mean't to be Runescape 2007...and the Void Range set should be left how it performed then.

Also...saying "Aside from the time factor" in regards to it - like that part is nothing...however,earning a full void range set from scratch is a many hour grind, and not just a walk to some guy in Lumbridge - like a beginner sword and shield.

New and future content shouldn't come at the cost of such compromises...and is a sure step toward game ruin.

New Content should be made to fit in with how the game is...not change the game around for it.

Such an important change without input or consent from the players is also very disrespectful and inconsiderate as well.

A major reason Oldschool is so popular is because the original Runescape was ruined by to many updates and changes that in the end lost the games original identity for many people who had been playing a while...and Oldschool reintroduced the game back in the way they remembered and loved.

Also surprising you changed the Serpentine Helm...you really had that right, and are now ruining it basically.

The timing is also seemingly very questionable and in poor taste...just a week or so from the new Inferno update.
Void Range and Serpentine Helm would be key items for the event...and now suddenly nerfed.
Makes it look like the spoiled brat at school that would keep changing the rules to not lose his game.

A key part of looking out for the games long term future is looking after it in the now.

Keep it truly Oldschool - and at least put Void back to how it was....or risk repeating history!

Please seriously consider...Thanks! :)

I really don't understand the reasoning for some the of the nerfs presented in the Q&A.

Raids are far more gp/hr than Zulrah ever was, and the twisted bow is far more unbalanced than the serpentine helmet.

Skilling supplies needed to be removed from Zulrah's drop table, I get it.

Part of the reasoning presented was that the team would struggle to create new, worthwhile content beyond Zulrah, Void Range, and the Serpentine Helmet.

What makes you think you can introduce something after Twisted Bow? I think its doubtful it would have even passed a poll if players were made more aware of its damage/DPS.

All of this would be much more palatable if it wasn't just new items locked behind new content. You now need to do it just to fully unlock your prayer book.

You could choose not to do Zulrah, and there were still much more lucrative and worthwhile opportunities available. The same cannot be said for Raids, and it just seems you're trying to shepherd us into this one piece of content (which i admittedly did not enjoy).

Doubtful one voice will be heard among so many, but in the off-chance it was, thank you for your time.
