Been playing since 2004 and thought I'd give my feedback...
Personally I never wanted raids in the first place it just seems like a way to sneak dungeoneering into old school. I believe there's more than enough content in the game and adding massive game changing updates after a few years is bad. I hated dungeoneering because it was so uncreative and not like rs, just copy and pasted from every other mmo out there like wow and because it added new best in slot items that devalued bossing along with torm, d claws, overloads, summoning etc. I also hate the idea of playing a "minigame" to earn points in order to unlock new powerful pvp/pvm gear instead of killing bosses in various dungeons that drop new weapons/armour as a rare drop. That is the true runescape way and gives that rewarding and entertaining experience we all have played for so many years..why change that and make it a minigame and why repeat dungeoneering considering it's role in ruining normal runescape?
I want more updates like the POH update earlier this year where an old skill was revitalized and improved to be useful to players in all sorts of different ways relating to combat and non combat skills throughout the whole game yet it didn't break any previous content. Torags set could be updated, ahrims staff made 1 handed and able to cast ancients, karils set could be changed, and all sorts of other content could be updated or given more relevance to players without resorting to these strange new types of content that stray from the normal style of runescape content.
As far as the raids grouping system I agree it shouldn't rely on clan chats and should be it's own clan chat but if that's so impossible then tell players it can't be made and move on with a new way, or rather the old way which is a dungeon in runescape where the boss spawns and drops rare items that players can team up against and share the rewards amongst each other no need for grouping and instancing in my opinion
