This issue has made me actual log in to post about it, so here it goes.
Shardshare is a scary concept. Their is so much that can be done to manipulate all the incoming shards and degrade actual price of the split drop. Lootshare is the best choice of the 2. It is a familiar concept (for the majority of us who play osrs) and its primary usage is for anti crashing at gwd and corp. Nothing is more annoying than leeches who farm minions or come in and steal a good drop, Lootshare gets rid of the solo leeches (in most cases) and for the vast majority of pvmers they have a small group who they have split many items of value with.
So to conclude**** or nothing option is probably our best bet, because hey its the internet you can't trust everyone
