I like the proposition that players cannot get a bank key from someone 40 levels below them; however, I just started playing DMM 5-6 days ago and losing my items isn't the problem. Players are going to kill lower levels whether they get the target's bank key or not, especially if the attacker is already skulled. The problem is losing experience. It's hard to progress when losing 25% of the experience you've earned because of constantly being killed. You are basically forced to train in a safe zone to prevent losing experience in combat skills. Training in safe zones is neither profitable nor fun. I want to actually PvP, but I can't because I'm stuck grinding in safe zones trying to catch up to seasoned DMM players. Also, I prefer close combat, but training melee is not viable because attack and strength both need to be protected as opposed to only ranged or only magic. This means you must choose not to protect defense, prayer, or hit points, or risk losing attack or strength experience. This seems like a design flaw. My primary point: There will be few NEW players in DMM, because they cannot excel while losing massive amounts of experience by being farmed by seasoned players. The 5x experience should be used to encourage people to play DMM and to accelerate leveling so that people can do what this mode is intended for - PvP, not to counterbalance the experience lost on death.
