we had about enough " rares" , people had the chance to get phats and hween masks for a couple years now, and they are virtually everywhere on all accounts.

Its time to make them disc and let em gain some value for the future.

also i recommend a repoll on the rare poll 2, 68% voted to bring back rares discontinued,
If the vote would be taken today, it would be 80% easy.

To all those wanting items to become discontinued, Jagex said they would never do that ever, and I agree. Not only does it skew the economy into a "rich get richer" situation over time, everyone who currently have rares basically get a free, massively profitable merch. As someone who's played from day 1, I strongly believe it would be a horrifically unfair and game integrity destroying thing to do.

In other news, I'm hype for Hallowe'en :D

I got an off-topic question though...

Can we poll something to buff the kraken tentacle?

In my opinion it should be up to the players to decide if the whip or tentacle should be destroyd after a certain amount of hits. From a logical point of view it would be normal to think that the outside of an item is the one that is being worn out and destroyed unless you run with the absorbing theory, but still. The kraken tentacle is 1/400 from the boss and 1/1,2k from the normal cave krakens making it about twice as hard to get compared to the whip yet only a 5th of the price. problem is that few wants to do krakens as its not worth it xp wise or gp wise and its kinda annoying when u get a tentacle as its a rare drop yet worth close to nothing. please fix it so people can enjoy the great content :) thanks!

couple points:

1) I agree, noobs that are starting the game, will get like 100k free gp , cuz of the rares being horded atm, so its unfair to still give them away, as you've said, they are getting to valueble

2) People had 3 years to get rares now, and they are still very cheap, so making them disc, would give everyone the chance of owning multiple sets, without problems.

3) The original game had rares, jagex made a dirty move by not disc rares from the day they were released, and then polling if they shouldnt be discontinued but randomly available, and released every year. if the poll would have been conducted that way, 68 % would have voted NO, to change it. It was the first hudge mistake, and the only mistake so far, they did a great job so far, and they have a chance to set things straight.
