Hey there; I do not want to come off the wrong way, but I will say it like this:

Have you taken a step back and thought about the repercussions of removing the slayer combat requirements for low level masters?

Vanna*a can now assign people with level 50 combat things like level 122 Hellhounds & Level 131 Bronze Dragons. How on Earth will they be able to kill them?

The Combat levels required for tasks were surely set for a reason.

I deliberately stayed low combat (55) on my 10 HP account to avoid tasks such as Jellies, Turoths, Kurasks, Daganoths, Hell hounds, Bronze Dragons, and Kalphite; simply because they are too difficult to do otherwise. It is also because some of these tasks are non-cannonable (using a cannon is the only current way I have been able to properly train Slayer with 10 HP).

I personally, have to block Pyrefiends & Killerwatts already (both non-cannonable) with my maximum of 2 block tasks; so did not anticipate the slayer combat level requirement removal whatsoever.

This new update means that I cannot train Slayer at all , and that many low level players are going to struggle with high Combat level tasks.

Please have a think about re-instating low level slayer master combat level requirements.

I'm not happy with Vanna*a assigning monsters that "Cheese" (Chaeldar), Nieve or Duradel should assign. A lvl 40 killing Bronze Dragons? No can do.

Combat requirements shouldn't have been wiped out completely O_o

Now, due to feedbacks from a small amount of players which was defined as "community", more unpolled changes come under the title of "rework".
(No one ever discussed the low level masters specifically, only Nieve and Duradel. Not really fair to the rest of us is it?)

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Did you guys forget to mention you can't afk nmz anymore? Who cares really? You can splash a monster with a spell and walk away from your computer for hours but I'm not allowed to partially afk nmz? You have to do more in nmz while "afking" than half of the skills that are offered. Woodcutting? Magic? Prayer at gilded altars? I'm quite frustrated with the contradictory that is carelessly being tossed around where you claim we can vote for WHATEVER WE WANT and nothing will be passed unless 75% of the community votes on it, but go and do this. I've been playing Runescape for over ten years now and I must say, it's quite irritating you guys think you can change the game without our consent. You're talking about someone who has paid for over 100 months of Runescape, and this? I understand changes, but this is too far. Now Guthan's has crashed over 5m at the very least. It may not sound like a lot to many people, but for the one's who earn their money through bossing, barrows, or skilling, 5m is a nice chunk of change. Really guys? I'm quite disappointed.

Although I understand why, It's a shame you removed the ability to easily train combat stats in Nightmare zone or the older spots like Bandits in the desert. For (older) players like me it's just impossible to get to the required stats for F2P PK clans (the reason I'm playing) in a reasonable time window.

This is certainly scaring me away from this game again.

The things that really get me are...

People who had great stats back in 07 got shafted because Jagex took the game in the direction they took it (runescape 3). I have an account that was maxed combat during 2007, Prayer included. So for those of us who had decent stats back then, we're out of luck and need to start over, which sucks but there's no avoiding it.

I wouldn't doubt if most of the people wanting to remove afk guthans or mage have most likely already reaped most of the benefits it had to offer. Now that they're finished with it they want it to be removed.

The PROPER approach to this should have been to stomp it out right off. Not let people "abuse" it for an amount of time then remove it because those people ask to. I'd really think about if this is the best approach or not.

PS: I'm not sure if I'm missing somewhere where Jagex said they have a backup skill if Sailing dies at the poll. But think about this: If they DONT have another skill lined up, how long will it take them to think of one and bring the idea to players? Sailing could have potentially already been out by that time.

PPS: If not to give players a fair chance like the people before them, I'd like to see the changes reverted just to see all the panic sellers scrambling to buy their gear back. O_o

Yes, thank you thank you thank you :D I got 80 slayer at 74 combat, which meant chaeldar wouldn't assign me anything over aberrant spectres (though there didnt seem to be a minimum level for spiritual creatures). Couldn't get any metal dragons, hell hounds or kalphite either. Getting 75 combat only added elves, blue dragons and dust devils to that list. I look forward to finally being able to slay kurask, gargoyles and ne**ryael now (probably not the nicest of tasks, but it spices things up). This also means I'll get to try the abyssal sire if I do get 85 slayer.

Don't think a cap for chaeldar's spiritual creature assignments was needed though, I was fine with killing 180+ spiritual warriors. Guess it's not too big of a difference though.

Looks great, folks; however, what "terrible" slayer tasks were removed? Any chance on a slayer point refund if we previously had them blocked? Thanks!

Edit: Jungle Horrors were removed from Duradel's assignment table, but not lower-level masters'... I take it that means I can't get the points I had used to block them back?

Calm my friend.. So you have to ACTUALLY train your account now and not be lazy? If you have paid for over 100 months of runescape you should be able to train your own account man. I make plenty of money from bossing, barrows, and skilling. 5m is nothing.
