There should be a higher restriction to new F2P-players to prevent F2P bots. I think the mayority of the bots will not be banned within 24 hours. A minimum amount of quest points would truely help (quests are not botted as easily)
24 hours doesn't seem that long of a wait. I hope an account cannot just remain logged in for 24 hours doing monotonous tasks with the intention of transferring items once the trade limit is lifted.
Something such as a minimum total level or QP requirement as well as the 24 hour trade limit would help combat this.

I was worried at first about the restrictions, but I think these simple restrictions will benefit the game greatly. 24 hours isn't a whole lot of time, but it's enough to be able to ban a lot of the bots, I feel.
I'm glad the quest point restriction was removed, as that would've forced people to quest, which many people simply don't like doing. Looking forward to having a huge amount of new people joining the game.
Really glad you decided to bring lobsters and yews back to F2P, as it is a great money source for those players.

Will there be additional activity required?

As it stands the only requirement will be 24 hours played. We can change this if needs be.

So to clarify some things, F2P players WILL be able to cut yews and fish lobsters, right?
Also will staking restriction also be for first 24 hours only?
Yes, they will be able to and, no, the 1m staking restriction applies to all of F2P.

One thing that may need to be looked in to is the people splashing on very low level NPCs.
The recent changes to splashing will prevent training spots being over run with splashers. If it does prove to be problematic we can make tweaks.

We will make any necessary tweaks once F2P has been out and we can see the impact the restrictions are having.

Sounds good. 2 questions:
1) You sure 24 hours is enough, especially during the weekends?
2) Have you thought of bots standing around doing nothing for 24 hours before the start botting?
1) We'll be monitoring how things go during the first several weeks and will decide what tweaks need to be made in order to make sure the limits are achieving what they should be.
2) Yes, it would make them much less effective and much easier to detect.
