Hey guys, some of the feedback suggests we need think a bit more about some ideas. Firstly, free runes in Castle Wars - many of you are worried about lots of barragers freezing every one all the time. How about if we only supply the elemental runes and mind, chaos and death runes. That way mages can cast up to Fire Blast for free but will have to supply their own blood runes for more powerful spells.
Also, the extra tickets for killing more players or capturing the flag in Castle Wars has raised some concerns about farming the game. We could limit the extra tickets to one extra if you kill 10 or more players and one extra if you capture one or more flags.
Honestly Matt that is a great solution for free runes. I think an even better solution would be to simply make it so that you can only cast standard spells with the free runes. I wouldn't mind people using entangle or fire wave. Entangle takes skill because you have to manually cast it. Fire wave isn't that strong either so not that big of a deal. I'll be voting no if they can cast ancients with the free runes at all.
Definitely limit the tickets to 10 kills and 1 capture. That is a great solution Matt. I'd vote yes for it.
I also like Dan 311's idea that you should get an extra ticket if you manage to hold the enemy to zero points.
I'd really like you to address the problem with people leaving the game when they see their team starting to lose. Changing the ticket system would help.
Win - 3 tickets
Tie - 2 tickets
Lose - 1 ticket
Hold enemy to 0 scores - +1 ticket
One capture - +1 ticket
Ten kills - +1 ticket
Only bad thing is you can get up to 6 tickets a game (too much imo). This would make it hard if you ever wanted to add a mini-games high scores.
I honestly don't like the idea of having tickets be so easy to get. I'd rather it be.
