If leveling up characters isn't possible, then just have it record the amount of trips done.

this is what Mod Ash said about this on twitter a few days ago:

"Might need the engine team to update how NPCs remember data first. Which they say could be done, if their time permits."

I like most of the ideas in here, however I can't really agree with the Castle Wars ones.

"If you kill five or more players without dying, would you like to be buffed which will increase the damage you deal and make you more difficult to kill?" -- This would reward random PKers, that don't really play the game (capture the flag) anyway. If you're defending you won't kill that many people soon, since there are multiple people defending and the kills will be divided. However, if you're camping the other team's spwn room or pking randomly over the map on your own, this can happen quite a bit faster. These are not the people that should be rewarded with more damage imo though.

"Should we add some siege weapons to help break down the doors of the keep?"
-- I don't mind, as long as it's just the gate.

"Finally, to make Castle Wars more accessible, we want to supply mages with runes if they don't want to bring their own"" -- This wouldn't be a good idea. Magic is undoubtably the best combat style to defend due to freezing/binding. If people want these advantages, they just have to pay for the runes like the rest of us. If you want to hand out free Magic xp a FOG-like minigame would be better then CW.

"Should 10% of your kills be translated into tickets at the end of each game?" -- As stated earlier, I don't feel like PKers need to be rewarded. This would just encourage more PKing and can easily be abused.

"Should you receive one ticket for each enemy flag that you deliver to your castle's standard stand?" -- This too, could be easily abused. If people start up games in non-themed world with just a few players (2v2 for example) they could easily get 5x as much as playing in a theme world would get them, which is hardly fair.

I don't think the way to save Castle Wars is to let people get the rewards faster, since they're still useless, but adding a few useful rewards that would make people play.

Sounds great...really looking forward to some of these updates. The matchmaker system sounds good and will revitalise the fun mini-games like BA.

A few questions/points
1) The rune pouch seems like a lot of work for a player to earn it and especially then if you lose it to a PKer. Apart from PKing I can't see a real use for it; it's not worth the work just for a few magic slayer tasks. Perhaps once earned can be retrieved from an NPC if lost?

2) I had a quick check on zyb3z for people selling ore, and there are whole pages of people buying ore and no-one selling. The blast furnace is a great way to make cash and slowly train smith in EOC but I can't see it working unless more ore is injected into the game.

3) I like the idea of a better whip but I don't like equipment that degrade, how about just leave it permanently upgraded and tradeable for the non-PKers to aquire and a way for PKers to make cash?

Thanks

Since technically Impetuous Impulses is a Mini-game, can we add a new Impling to OSRS?

Adding another impling that would spawn very rarely could work as a boost to this mini-game, that was released once the GWD thawed out.

If possible to add a type of royal clothing, then it would need to be very rare and could possibly function as the only games one true "rare" similar to third-age armor. Don't make it a sham like Kingly implings were.

Rewards to the Ancient Impling would be:
Uncut Diamond 15-30 (common) Amulet of glory 2-4 noted(common) Crystal Key 2 noted (common)
Dragon Javelins 10-40(common), Dragon knives 10-40 (common), Dragon Throwing axes 10-40(common),
Dragon fragments(bolts unf) 5-20 (common)
Dragonstone 5 noted(uncommon), Dragon bolts 40-70 (uncommon) Dragon Bolt tips 50-90 (uncommon) Onyx Bolt tips(20-30) uncommon
Spirit seed (rare), Crystal seed (rare)
Godsword shard 1/2/3(very rare), uncut onyx(very rare)

To make Dragon fragments complete into bolts, a Blue Dragon scale must be shaped with a knife into 10x Dragon Scale Fletchings (80 crafting 89 Fletch to complete). The stats of Dragon Bolts will be 130 ranged strength, only firable with the Armadyl Crossbow.

Here are the stats for the other Dragon items:
Dragon Javelins +90 ranged attack +110 ranged str
Dragon Knives +50 ranged attack +60 ranged str
Dragon Throwing Axes +80 ranged attack +90 ranged str
Dragon knives will have a special that doubles it's ranged strength for 12 seconds that takes 100% special drain.

Dragon throwing axes and Dragon Javelins can have Morrigan's Throwing axes/Javelin old special attacks.

Since PVP weapons were not released with PVP worlds, we can add some of them through a new impling.

Most of the incentives arent even incentives their things that will just drive people away from the game for the fact they make to much change to make the game easier.

torso legs, clue scrolls, bonecrusher, rune pouches, new prayer spells all stupid updates that just make the game to easy.

Trouble Brewing/Blast Furnace
removing requirements does nothing but upset more people this is old school we need more requirements. The reason these minigames arent played is because there boring and useless to be honest its not because the lv requirement is high.. removing requirements to items or content is the worst things you can possibly do to existing content as far as im aware..

Shades of Morton
Again completely stupid to remove defence requirement to wear splitbark, splitbark is pretty useless as it is, removing a requirement wont do much to this minigame.

reclouring of the whip is a completely dumb update lol it doesnt do anything its useless, other things that are wrong is to have a shop where all minigames are interacting with each other, that is simply wrong to have the shops in one big one of all the minigames as all the minigames have nothing to do with one another and I personally dont like the idea of the shop. Another poll question about the Buy X in general stores, it seems to be an odd question to even have I mean who buys from the general store?? It seems pointless but a buy all option would kinda make more sense to me even though i'd rather leave the whole question alone left out from the poll, the buy 10 option seems ok enough I mean its the General Store no one really bothers to buy or even look much in there..

Just one more thing that I dont agree with is free magic runes in castle wars, free runes means free xp, I think people should have to spend their own runes on killing things in Castle wars if it gives xp, also it makes rune prices drop in price so its bad for the economy, i'd either not want free runes or I feel all xp should be removed.

No whip should not recieve any upgrade at all, it is already good and is realisticaly a very silly weapon. Leave it how it is and bring in new better weapons instead of upgrading the whip. A lvl 75 Katana for example

These are some great ideas!

Not so sure about adding an item similar to the Bonecrusher into the game. Also, regarding the reward shop, if you clicked on each item, would it show how much it cost in every accepted form of "currency"? For example, would a Castle Wars red and blue armor helm come up as say "10 C-Wars tickets", "30 pieces of eight"? This could allow for players to choose different ways of how they acquire the rewards, and this might be problematic. I would hope that only the currency from the associated minigame will be accepted.

Also, could the poll address how Clan Wars and Wildy Tag will be set up? Will we receive Marks of Grace for tagging the polls in the wildy, which we can turn in for new weapons or the rewards listed above? Also, can we add a portal in Edgeville or Varrock that leads to Clan Wars instead of it taking up a ton of space in the Wilderness?
