Listen, it is essential that spirit shields come back as they were.

To lower levels who will vote no : Corp will come out in october so who knows? You might be maxed combat by then or you may be significantly richer so don't just vote no out of spite because you lack the combat requirements to tackle corp efficiently at this moment in time.

To '2007 nostalgia loving scapers' who will vote no : If you honestly think that this game will only have content from 2007, your having a laugh. Whether you like it or not, as time goes on there will be more items and there will be more bosses. There is no point in voting no when you know that this game is moving on and will move on.

I would like all the spirit shields as they were. But I know there wont be 75% support for this. So, maybe nerf them but ever so slightly so as to keep them worth camping the corp and worth using up tons of supplies.

Proposed nerfs:

Divine
: Blocks all damage by 25%, at the expense of prayer points. So if somebody was going to hit you a 40, they would hit you a 30 if you was wielding a divine. Thats only 10 less damage for that shiny green thing which will either cost you months of grinding at corp(and probably still won't get it) or a fortune of gp. Remember if you had 0 prayer points, the divine would act like a normal blessed spirit shield.

Elysian
: Blocks 20% of damage, with a 70% chance of activating.

Spectral & Arcane the same.

I appreciate the interaction with the community Mod Reach.

Concerning the location and requirements of Corporeal Beast:
I believe there should be a 150 or 200 quest point requirement to access the Corporeal beast lair, but having no designated quest in particular linked to it.

I feel like the lair itself should be in a rather remote location, not in the wilderness, but perhaps south-west of Rellekka, somewhere that isn't too dreadful to reach, but you can't just use a games necklace and teleport right there.. cough cough.

Concerning the drops and rewards from Corporeal Beast:
I believe the Elysian shield was just enough to become a very valuable item and not break PvM, although the Divine would be better off with altered effects. Perhaps it could have a 100% chance of blocking 10%-30% of incoming damage, at the cost of 50% prayer points worth of incoming damage. Just alter the scales a bit.
Obviously the models for the spirit shields should stay the same.

It would also be nice to have a high-end crush weapon come from corp as well; but I don't really see the point of introducing new mage gear through the corp.

The only way I could see a crush weapon from corp being worth money would be if it was a 2 handed, accurate, hard hitting weapon that would work nearly everywhere *cough* chaotic maul *cough* and I somehow doubt that it will pass a poll, sadly. Otherwise I don't think that a crush weapon would be worth anything from corp and would definitely not be worth camping for.

If it's a crush version of the whip, maybe a 'dragon warhammer'... Well whips are under 1.5m and the only reason they aren't under 1m is because of kraken tentacles.
Obviously it might be worth a bit more due to corp being alot harder to kill than abyssal demons, but still...

I feel that, due to the fact that weapons/armor dropped from this boss will likely be best in slot, there should be some sort of requirement to use them other than owning an excessive amount of gold. Perhaps there should be a kill count requirement in order to equip them, or maybe a slayer level of 95+?

95+ Slayer would be stupid, the skill has NOTHING to do with corp, the fact that an item costs alot should already be enough, people seem to want loads of requirements but don't understand that not everyone can afford a spirit shield, but if you can afford one, you definitely deserve to own it.

would love to see corp back. PLEASE DO NOT NERF/ ALTER SPIRIT SHIELDS, it simply wouldn't reflect the difficulty of the boss and would also affect the prices of the drops meaning people wouldn't be as inclined to go corping. people always used to complain about the ''op'' nature of divine/ely etc but thats only because they could never afford one, once people put the effort in and spent time grinding to afford one they suddenly became bread and butter for pvmers.
the original spirit shields and their effects were simply a just reward for people who spent hours grinding to get one and made corporeal beast such a major piece of content. if nerfed, i fear corp just wouldnt be worth it, considering its difficulty and the rarity of drops.

Bleh, corp....always hated it, just an incredibly boring, outdated boss that requires pretty much zero skill and is a huge grind. Id rather have tds, those things actually required some skill to lure/kill. playing rs since 1976, 40 year vet cape soon

Why not have corp AND tds? Corp has pretty much already been made, voting no wont change anything as far as other updates go, but if you vote yes it shows the jmods that we want more bosses and high level content which could lead towards tds.
