I was wondering if anyone had insight into gaining keys from Skilling. As a F2P I have gotten a key from various skilling options. However, it seems that I might get several keys in one day, or no keys in a week. Is there a percentage chance per click? Is there a certain amount of xp to gain before getting a key? Does it matter if I spend time doing various skills, rather than concentrating on one particular skill? I'm just trying to understand how getting keys really works. Any insight?

I believe it's just your RNG. The same system that gives you skilling pets and a chance at rare drops.

It isn't based on how many actions you do or how much XP you get. You can bankstand all day, then kill a goblin and might find a key. Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !
