On the most recent TH promotion, I opened a Gilded Chest and received a 4x loot drop on the Shaman Headdress red item. Now, given that the item is totally useless to have more than one of, I'm not too worked up about this next bit, but when I checked my bank, I only had one. I'm mostly just curious what happened to the other three.

That being said, I'm also curious why Jagex wouldn't just prevent single-usability items from appearing on the drop tables of multi-loot chests. Seems incredibly silly.

Won't let me post the screenshot of the drop, but I do have one.

Because this way Jagex gives the powers to the players in choosing between an unique prize or multiple times of its oddments worth. Note that multiple times of the same unique Headdress may be silly, but multiple times of the oddments that Headdress converts to is absolutely good for the players.

I'm gonna disagree on that one. I personally find the Oddments a huge waste of time. Most of the stuff that's not in the limited shop seems pretty worthless, since they're all either low-value buyables or super common stuff from TH or other promotions, and then the limited-time shop has all been pretty ugly overrides.

That's just your
personal
preference. Some like to win cosmetics or unique items. Some like to get oddments so they can choose their own items from the Oddments store.

No spit, that's why I said personal in the first place. But you said "absolutely good", which is the bit I disagreed with. I feel that a lot of players would rather win quadruple red loot of something you can actually have quadruple of, rather than the choice of Oddments.

Unless I'm mistaken, the other red loot would still give you the same number of Oddments, meaning that players would still have the choice of a bunch of Oddments, but they would also have the choice of a useful reward.

4x UNIQUE items don't do you any good and they will be taking up bank slots. That's why it is good to just get 1, and it is absolutely good to give them 4x oddments if they choose so.
