Not just you, it seems they want you to buy keys, Cause the big incentive here is to fill the bar for "Free" cat armour. Someone i know is a memeboy.

I think of the possibilities, like letting them wear slayer masks/helms, which inturn would be like having 2 equipped.

or wearing fish masks or other th rares, or disc items like phats, whats the point of having blue and white if you can only wear one, might as well let the cat wear one, maybe crack a rainbow cape on it

maybe it could wear a whole skilling outfit so when on uncharted isles tackling 2 or more resources and need bamboo invent space to increase afk , you got 2 sets on your person

This has been one of the more better promos all year, I used close to 40 free keys (used some oddments) and got 5 pieces, one was garenteed. just need body and hat now. Lost Woods numba 1, (NOT EE, Those scrubs are liars ;p)

It took me approximately 100 keys to get the full outfit. You unlock pieces at random with each key AND it fills the bar which guarantees a piece once it's filled, then it resets and you can fill it up again as many times as you want.

You can keep earning pieces after you unlock the complete set? I'm not sure why they did this. Maybe to allow those who don't want to purchase keys?

So if you prefer to spend coin instead of keys on these unlocks, check the grand exchange!

I mean I prefer it over the prior obscenely OP xp promos. Even if he does look a little odd without any armor. If it's affordable enough from the TH whales putting them on the GE I might even buy some of the tokens to dress him up.

For the first time in my memory I can honestly say I am 100% OK with this TH promotion. The fact that I'm not buying keys for it is not that I don't want to support it, but that I want to save that GP for bonds because I want to keep renewing membership during good updates for the forseeable future.

If that wasn't the case, I'd waste all that reserve gold on keepsake keys like I had been doing, but now I'm actually thinking "I might actually want to subscribe in the forseeable future to a degree I should have some of this saved up." That is a good thing. Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.
