It needs to stay, otherwise how else will Fukong get money? Also, stop telling people how to play the game.
Also, how else will RS3 remain viable to keep online?!

Lol. You guys understand what a membership fee is, right?
Also the point of this isn't to take a money making source away from the people keeping the game running, it's to remove Treasure Hunter and other micro-transactions influence in the market. Cosmetics in TH are no big deal, and I have almost no issues with Solomon's Store, but the way TH has been functioning for a long time, it's just a way to buy wealth and exp.
Just 4 days ago, a group of 4 people spent 72 hours making new accounts and using the keys on those accounts with treasure hunter. It took them just 72 hours to make 14.2 billion GP. This shouldn't be able to happen.
There are countless other stories of people literally buying max stats through TH the same day they make the character. This shouldn't be able to happen.
Runescape existed for many many years before these micro-transactions took over as such a huge element of the game. Runescape needs to go back to those days or it's facing obsolescence in the same way your typical mobile games tend to fade out.

Mod Cam commented on it already:
(1) 14.2 Billion gp is just a drop in the ocean. It doesn't affect the economy at all.
(2) It was a bug exploit. So look for it to be fixed in their next promotion.

Yes and now TH and MTX are core parts of our game! There's skilling, pvming, questing, and MTXing. It allows us to gamble and to catch up if we don't have much time to play! There's no negatives at all!

As Dilbert said, the economy is in such a bad place that 14.2b isn't anything to worry about. Personally I usually make more than that per week due to the price manipulation threads on this forum. Easy to profit off what those clans are doing!

Unlike what NonMax Jake said, I never said the economy is in such a bad place, and I am talking about the RS3 economy. On the contrary, the RS3 economy is prospering because there are plenty of activities and trading in the game that 14.2 bil gp is just a drop in the ocean as Mod Cam said. He might be looking at the economy elsewhere though.
In fact, RS3 has been in deflation for 2 years since the release of the Invention skill.

Friend of mine made 9.7b from the promo. alot of other people in pis2ols fc made around 500m+ each. Half the playerbase made alts too. So around 1trill gp probably entered the game just from the promotion. Inflation is so much fun I hope we get this again! takes around 200 alts for 500m gp which takes 3 hours to make.
I need my blue charms back.

Can you show where is the inflation? No, not in RS3 as it is in deflation since Invention. In fact, players are talking about the diminishing resource prices (e.g. seeds) as well as PvM/bossing loot due to stone spirits. Inflation? Wrong game, not in RS3.
Small suggestion maybe call your government official and ask about outlawing it, 2nd option try and contact any shareholders with since they have more say than any employee at jagex in how to run there cash cow that they are milking to death
