Before reading this please do not take this post as a criticism, because it isn't.

But does anyone else think that rather than gaining XP from prasmatic lamps etc, they'd rather have more double XP weekends/events??

Just to note I understand that treasure hunter is about more than just XP.

I feel sometimes that I'm progressing in skills but don't really deserve to...because I've done nothing but rub a lamp.

Having an incentive but still being able to do something significant towards my achievements is something I'd much prefer.

Sorry to bore anyone who's probably asked this question before, just came to mind today!

Jagex is moving toward hosting more DXP events than usual. Last year, RuneScape had four of these events, and it certainly looks like we'll have four again this year (one every three months). In addition, several events give healthy amounts of bonus experience. An example of this would be the current anniversary, where you'll receive an extra 10% experience for just training in the crater - which increases to 13% temporarily if you use the cake.

I do understand what you mean, but it's just one of those things. I don't mean this in a bad way, but you could convert your prize to oddments, and use them to unlock some of the cosmetics.
