unlocking tokens gets nothing to a player
basically just paying irl or ingame money and loosing out.
people that sell the tokens on some promos make mills/bills

people that unlock get nothing

you need to start doing some sort of percent of tokens unlocked rewards

so overun with cosmetics that unlocking is starting to be pointless otherwise, you can only wear one item per slot
having a choice is good but unlockers suffer the most

Im almost certain Jeremy is being sarcastic here.

Maybe for good reason, using the tokens unlocks the cosmetic, so you are getting something.
Selling it and sacrificing the cosmetic gets you a little pot of gold; you get the choice.

Id argue, alongside these promo events, players should have a means of earning the tokens through challenges and tasks related to the promo.

Assassin for example = Player has the option to kill x amount of npc characters, earn shards to build a token.

Rainbow = Farm x amount of flowers in flower patches

Cerberus = Random wilderness spawns with a 0.5% chance of a token drop throughout the day.

Then these promos should be guaranteed to always return with a consistent schedule.

I think it's the same as someone who tries to fill their treasure hunter log, or their PoH costume room. Practically speaking, it's just a gold star. Whoopdie do.

I could see them adding a "token tracker" similar to the clue scroll rewards logbook, which lets you see how many you've unlocked, and shows what % completion you have.

Maybe offer a title at full completion or near full.

It's all cosmetic from the beginning so I don't see any reason why you'd need any gameplay related benefits.
