The recent TH promotion has a big button labeled "750 Oddments", RIGHT where there is usually a button to RECEIVE oddments. I usually take oddments instead of the "prizes", so I clicked it. Nothing happened, so I clicked it AGAIN.

Then I realized it was a TRICK by Jagex... and that I was SPENDING oddments ("for" multipliers), not getting them as was the case for YEARS.

So now I am down 1,500 oddments. Well taking the oddments instead of the "prize" yielded about 75 oddments, so I'm down something like 1,425.

Either that button was placed there to trick you into giving up oddments (Jagex profits by selling them, so... and note they have some 15,000 oddment pets now, they know they are profitable), or the designer of this latest scam ... er TH "promotion... innocently screwed up and coincidentally put an oddments spend button RIGHT where they always have a RECEIVE button.

I've not had to contact Jagex for the loss of anything in over a decade. I see now it is very hard... they have a bot manned "support" system... I don't see a way to actually send a real complaint to a human in support. Does anyone know how?

that button isnt even anywhere on the screen when a prize is being shown wtf r u even talking about.
the recieve oddment button is still there and not even anywhere close to the 750 oddment button.

gj being blockheaded though. Don't trust any pc's listed, any advice or talks between posts on ID forums anymore , the Manips are let loose, especially the main one with 15+ accounts posting acting as different people.. do your own research

When I checked TH, it says current promo is Loot chests.
But none are actually there, just normal chests. I tried 5 keys and not one single loot chest, so can anyone explain what I am doing wrong or is this a bug?
I also just wasted 750 oddments thinking maybe I was supposed to use those to get the loot chests, but it chose something totally different.

Yep, definately a bug, not sure if deliberate or not.
Just logged into TH again, and loot chests are now in the bottom circle saying they appear in 1 hour and 6 minutes but they were in the top circle when i first posted here and were not due to elapse for over an hour, sorry just dont get this.

TBH clear labeling or not, purchasing bonuses by time rather than rolls seems a bit predatory. Time limits pressure people into acting hastily and it's clearly structured to pressure people into buying and spending a large amount of keys in a short amount of time. If bonuses are going to be offered then they'd be better off for either the duration of a promotion or per roll. The random nature of the bonus given also adds yet another layer of RNG to something that already functions like gambling.

From the sounds of it, paying to change the bonus is also incompatible with addressing another issue I have with promos that rotate prizes within a day. While I appreciate that they now notify players when the prizes change to better remember to check, they really should have a set rotation players can look at to see which ones they'll be on for that day. This one in particular has both a x2 and a x3 multiplier, so a player using their keys on the first only to find out about the second will feel pretty cheated. How to block a forum user

But where are they?, they were not there "now" when I used 5 keys.
You need to click the large chest to the left of Tren's image (assuming I'm understanding your point correctly).
