We know for sure Rare Item Tokens are very rare from TH, but every player can choose to exchange bonus xp for RIT at a FIXED rate - non RNG based powers to the players.

Not saying there can't be updates to the Rare Item Shop, but as I mentioned Jagex's plan is to have one consolidated shop with a main currency (Oddments or Bonds). We still get the powers to use our keys to receive random items but it seems like we will also be given more choices to get items through non-RNG based way like buy a rare item token for x oddments or set of Rainbow Multipliers for a bond or something similar.

I read that they want to combine the different stores, not that they necessarily want to shut down Rare item store.

We want to combine all the stores (SGS, Loyalty store, Rare Item, Oddment, Action bars/Presets, etc...) and have a whole rounded system. Have a clean up that makes it less confusing less complex but bring them together in a way that's more interesting.

I'd like to use a unified currency or maybe allow players to exchange currencies for others to unlock these things.

Here they say Rare item store and its own currency could even exist in a combined store. Atm it's still not sure what's gonna happen, or if something is even gonna happen in the end. From what I make up from the article is that it's mostly ideas and not an actual plan. I read a lot of "we could", "we want", "we like", and not so much "we will" and "we are".

Either way, Rare item store could always receive an update of more rewards in its current state, and maybe even in a future overhauled store, who knows. Feel free to take a look at my suggestions: 200m xp prestige
