This one is a bit mixed for me.
I quite enjoy the "bingo card" kind of promotion actually - to me, its a "distraction" in that it gives me something new to do. I've never quite liked to grind things, so anything that breaks up the grind and can keep me busy for a little bit is always appreciated. I typically don't play to try and complete the card the full 5 times and instead just aim to complete it just once, as a sense of accomplishment.
I like that often times, the tasks on the card bring a little bit of activity back to some not-so-often played pieces of content. For example, I appreciated this card's evil tree activity as I hadn't done an evil tree in quite some time and it was fun going through the old motions of hunting the tree down, cutting it down and lighting it ablaze.
I also like that usually for each card that comes into the game, there typically is at least one or two activities that are more fun when done as a group - they make great clan events. In this one, Ape Atoll agility is much more fun when done in a social setting.
With that said, I did feel that a number of the tasks were a bit... offputting this time around. I fully expected that there would be meant for different "tiers" of players (finishing the last row has always required some decent stats) but this time some of the tasks were a bit on the lengthy or annoying side of things. There did seem to be a number of combat activities, but these required a little bit of luck too - I still have killing Jogres for bones to do, killing Nihils for summoning components to do, and I haven't done the barrows task yet, but knowing my luck, it'll take me a good few trips before I get anything from it. A few of the skilling tasks were a bit much too - I very quickly stamped the two Herblore Habitat activities, and the Beacons run, while not difficult, had me a bit "meh."
All in all, I'll still be able to complete the card once, but didn't get as much enjoyment from the tasks as the last few sets.
