Instead of trying to make something sound prettier than it is, let's just call Treasure Hunter like it truly is: underage gambling simulator. You can keep saying that as many times as you want, it won't make it true though: you don't need to have a chance to win real money in order for something to be classified as gambling. The definition of gambling is "taking a risky action in the hope of a desired result". In Treasure Hunter's case, this means that you're risking never getting the prize you want from it, and what you want is obviously the desired result. > )

If the boss doesn't drop what you want as a guarantee, yes. But unlike Treasure Hunter, which is predatory gambling designed to nickel and dime your money, bossing is designed to be fun and doesn't cost you any extra real money beyond membership subscription.

I guess buying membership for alts is too by these terms.
