Hey Everyone,

It's my first time posting in this section, so for those of you who don't know me, hi I'm Mod Jon, and currently curator for all things events in the RuneScape Community Management team.

Right, down to business!

The reason I am creating this thread, is because I would like to start hosting events along side fansites, the idea being to host events for different communities than the regular event attendees and broaden the spectrum of Jmod events we host.

This is where you come in!

What I am looking for is cool, exciting & different events that we can co-host as a team. I've done this several times in the past and each time these events turned out to be great successes.

The current goal is to co-host 2/3 events a month with fansites, to see how it goes and as I am currently planning events for April, now is a good time to start asking!

Are any of you interested to take part in this? Getting an event set up together (you bring the event, I'll bring the promotion & support & maybe prizes if I can).

TL;DR : do you have any events you want to host in conjunction with a Jmod? If yes post here and we'll talk :)

We (Lunagang) are making now a international Fansite meeting (read my thread it will be awesome if there some JMods coming too.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the invitation. We aren't currently hosting any events as we're brand new and trying to get a bit of a community under our feet first, but I'll be sure to get in touch with you in the future when we are ready to branch out more. I really like the idea of being able to work directly with Jagex on certain events.

Are you wanting this topic to be the place where fansites let you know about their events or is this just a topic checking for interest? If the former, perhaps creating a list of what information you need to know would be helpful.

Hey Jon, welcome to Fansite Staff subforum!

I am speaking on behalf of CSF - Czecho-Slovak Forces language fansite.

Each week we host 1-4 Events.

Minor - Weekly events:
Monday - Group Skilling
Wednesday - Group Citadel gathering of resources
Thursday - Penguins Hunt

Saturday/Sunday - Main Event - with Digital campaign & promotion
For the past 3 weeks we've hosted high lvl boss masses - KK, KK+Nex, Vorago with attendance around 30ish, which is pretty solid for high lvl bosses I guess

I know that you are not able to play on Weekend on your JMod account so we could arrange something cool on a weekday. The question, however, is how we could merge global community with our language community while keeping everyone feeling comfortable.

I have some events I am trying to work on for the Month of May, as it will be my 2nd year Anniversary for CrusadersScape currently known as ScapeCentral. I would love to do a really unique kind of event and something different then most.

I have sent in a few emails but no response still.

I’m sorry I don’t understand what you mean, which thread are you talking about?

I doubt any J-Mods other than our translators would understand much :P

Well I understand German a little but not enough to host / take part in an event ;)

What do you think the possibilities are of your German community taking part in an event on an English speaking world?

I think that our regular event goers are very open minded people and are already from different parts of the globe, so I guess that wouldn’t be an issue. If anything, I’d like to encourage people from different places to interact more, after all this is a worldwide online game :) !

Great to see you host regular events, and yeah 30 people for a boss mass is a pretty great turnout. We can surely work something out during weekdays, and would be happy to help you with an event. I’m up for anything really, a massive penguin hunt, a boss mass, whatever you have in mind :)
