Hi guys,

I'm interested to know what your fansites are going to be doing for Christmas this year. We want to make this year one to remember - so I'd love to find out what you're planning to do (events/competitions etc) and how we can support you (prizes/promotional activities/assets/advice).

I do not think RuneZone has planned anything just quite yet :P . But, a Green Santa Hat would be quite spiffy! I would certainly be there and drop everything for that.

This year we are going to do a similar thing to the last year - a huge Advent Calendar giveaway. Event will take place on 1st-28th December.

It all starts with a massive fundraising campaign and everything is funded by the community itself and our staff. Fundraising started yesterday and ends on the last day of this month.

Using the collected money we will buy a huge amount of various gifts. This year our goal is to collect 600M-1B and give it out to 200-300-(maybe more?) Czech and Slovak players. On top of the Runescape items we will be giving away also RS Merchandise, which I've bought for more than 50 Bonds at RuneFest (not all of it will be used at this event). Some of the luckiest player will get a really awesome gift shipped to them, right under their Christmas tree.

The system is simple. We will fill X (number to be decided at the end of campaign based on available budget) inventories of gifts. Each inventory gets its letter A, B, C... and each inventory slot gets a number 1-28 (representing a day e.g. 14 = 14th December). Each player gets to pick one combination - for example D23. This means he will be given a gift from slot 23 out of inventory D on 23rd December.

What makes it fun and exciting is that every gift has a different value. For example some of the players got Coal last year (luckily for them, it was lots of coal!) but there were also some gifts worth more than 20M. We also avoid buying too cheap gifts as we want everyone to enjoy his gift and be happy.

Last year it was amazing to see everyone enjoying this and be super thankful. It is all about sharing with others, who make you enjoy the game. I love this idea so much.

I have a lot planned for the Month of December as well as this month, I sent in a Email and a DM to you as well. I am really trying to get this all planned away and ready. I will be doing a campaign for my Fansite called #ReviveScapeCentral and really bring back activity to my site and a new mind set as well as future for 2015.

I have a huge investment into my fansite, and I really got to start doing a lot of things from scratch as far as coding. Also since I have no staff to help me, so it is a lot of work, so my focus is to get these contest going, and redesign my fansite.

I really hope you can reply to my email and help me get the ball rolling on this, I have a lot to ask and I just hope Jagex is open to do it ;) .

Again I like to keep my cards secret, because its really hard to find a uniqueness between all the amazing fansites, so I really want to try and stand out and show to the Community that ScapeCentral is here and need their support, which will really help us in the future, but I just need a little helpful support from Jagex <3.

I appreciate all what you guys have done, and I look forward to Christmas as well as working with other Fansites.

We'd love to help out - we can put together some cool stuff for you. Can you send an e-mail so Mod Matthe can take a look at your request? Give us an idea of how much stuff you'll need, but we can do Top Trumps/membership/a few bonds?

This is just an rough idea that came up in my head. (It maybe should not be posted here, but at the same time I don't see why not.) But why not meet up with every fansite that has access to this forumsection? I'm sure that it would be awesome to see people of our colleague fansites. So are there any fansites who are willing to do a -massive- in-game meetup?

That'd be amazing - would be a brilliant way to bring the fansite communties together. I'd love to be there! Perhaps you could make a thread here and get in contact with other fansite admins to make it happen :)
