Why do you have to be a platinum fansite to help out with the files in the dropbox? If you're going to make it so that players can submit too, why not let everyone who has access to it? Then we can quickly compile inventory icon images rather than rely on like one person.

Having a place where we can share images would be cool. Also it would be cool if the dropbox was used again.

But yeah, I know it was mentioned in a thread on the old Fansite Staff forums. But as far as only Platinum fansites having access to the account, is just a idea, because reaching the tier means your fully dedicated to the RuneScape Fansite Community. But then again Platinum fansite Admins might be to busy to even bother to help keep the Fansite dropbox updated.

What I mean by this is having access to the Fansite Dropbox account which can uploaded images to it. But if we was to introduce other fansites to help build a one resource file for all images I think. a Google Fansite Drive would be better for this since Jagex could just add people to it, but it might not be updatable. I am looking into some image photo sharing things which allows other people to add images to the file or even help keep it updated.

It is only a idea, but I know that if something like this was to work and be useful for fansites everyone would have to pitch in when it comes to keeping it updated. I just really wish Jagex could work more closely with fansites when it comes to obtaining in-game images even maps.

I would say that instead of a dropbox,we could have a section on the forum within the Fansite Staff section called " Fansite resources " or something, where every Fansite could post not only images but tutorials/guides, scripts and other resources that might come in handy and not only that people could give feedback, which we cant get elsewhere.As a section in the forum jagex would have more control, and could maybe share stuff as well.Of course this idea could still be tweaked but let me know if you support it.

p.s: I'm willing to spend some time on making tutorials.

After reading through all the comment I am starting to believe in the idea of shared fansite resources managed by Jagex. This is something we all could benefit from. And I don't think this should be limited only to Platinum Tier Fansites, even though I can understand that you are proud of your work and achievements DieHunted Not only Platinum tier fansites are doing develelopment (website, tools...). We also do and we have massive plans for development. So limiting this just for Platinums' would once again discriminate Language Fansites

I think there's really a lot of stuff, that we all could benefit from as fansite Managers, Designers, Developers or Social Media Managers. If we want to get really constructive, it would be worth of creating a list of what we would like to have and get. So, Mod Infinity could go through it and see what he can do for us. I can imagine that there might be some impossible stuff, but also plenty of stuff Jagex can deliver for us.

The second thing is the platform or media, via which this content would be distributed to us. Here I believe we can provide some suggestions, but in the end the decision is in the hands of Jagex.

A new forum for media distribution would be really neat. In addition to inventory images, concept art, banners, drawings, etc could also be given to us through that.

Not sure about tutorials and guides - if you mean tutorials/guides to help new fansites set up their website, that'd be neat. But guides of in-game stuff, not so much.

I really hope they get back on board with fansite staff. I liked how they gave us images to update our websites for the Battle of Lumbridge. Even small things like that can make a world of difference to a fansite.

Platinum fan sites have shown their dedication to helping Runescape over the year, but just to reiterate what has already been said, they will most likely be too busy with their fan site or other things, and they are but a small number of people to take on such a big task. Of course, they can be involved, but they shouldn't be relied upon, I don't think that is fair.

Having a fan site drop box would be a great idea I think. The content, style and focus of fan sites will always be different, but they are all writing about the same thing.... runescape! Therefore, this would work immensely well in I should think if the drop box was constantly updated with the new icons, updated images, and all icons as well, not just the grand exchange.

In terms of updating the drop box, I am not immensely technical so do tell me if this is wrong, but just say we had that one resources area, that held everything. Maybe it could be that all those who have access to these forums could add information such as the new icon images, and only the platinum ranked leads and Jagex could remove any information, if it is outdated and has been updated in game? ....
