Judging by the level of activity we have in this forum, a VIP program reboot is probably in order.
You can use this thread to tell me what you want from the VIP program, what you like from what we have already and any threads you think are key to keep (in case we archive stuff that's out of date).

Paul

With the big focus on streaming at the moment, I'm starting to wonder where the focus on videos is going.
What I like a lot is being able to have supported content, with prizes and such. That makes it easy to host competitions with unique prizes.
Being able to stream on the RS twitch is pretty awesome too, seeing it's offical.
It's also great you're around and available to contact. Direct contact for stream/video-related things are always lovely to have.
I believe there was a thread somewhere with some video assets, like sound effects and other tips and tricks for making content. That one should stay. I still use the sound effects found there from time to time.
What I'd like to see, is community projects, like we've had in the past. This can be things like live podcasts, minigame events with the community and various videomakers and streamers, and the old machinima skit projects we had in the old video club.
I'd also love to have the option to have jmod interviews, like we did once with Mod Pips.
well, to be blunt, I just dont think these forums are working at the moment. There's out of date info and many people who once frequented these forums, don't any more for a number of reasons. I don't think we at Jagex have delivered on what the VIP program first offered and I want to do something about that. And it strikes me that starting it again with a fresh new approach sends a message and so perhaps wouldn't be a bad thing.
But I also appreciate that pulling the forums down and replacing them might be a bit drastic as there's been lots of good discussion and detail here too. That's why I've been keen to know how valued it is by the people who do do spend time here.
My ultimate aim for the forum is to have it frequented by the streamers and video makers so that it's a reliable form of communicating for us all and in an ideal world, is also a place for a hotbed of ideas and collaborations (which is why I started the video club back in the day in the first place).
Right now, it's great for a small group of us but I want it to be more.
I have a TeamSpeak server that people can use if you all like - It was originally made for my Friends Chat/Subscriber base but private groups and channels can be created for VIP members, though I can't imagine many wouldn't want to chat to a bunch of friendly people anyway.
I don't mind letting everyone on it if it's alright with you Paul, and I think a lot of us like the whole voice chat thing.
i definitely wouldn't mind a re-boot.. it started off being a decently-active forum.. and the "vip rewards" if you want to call them that were slowly on their way.. and it just kinda died..
