My thoughts...
Jagex is doing a good job featuring videos and streams in the Community Chronicles and in News articles. Maybe we could use this forum to suggest videos to include in future Chronicles (either our own or other people's)? After all, one of the major advantages of this forum is that it's private, so we can post links here.
I really like video competitions. In fact, that was how I got involved in videomaking in the first place. I entered the Player Support Video Competition last year. I know Will Miss It was involved in this as well.
As a result of the competition, I won 25 spins (
) and a few cosmetic items. That was cool, but better rewards might encourage more people to enter future competitions. Didn't the Machinima finalists win lifetime memberships?
I'm unsure about creating a separate Jagex-owned account for help videos...couldn't they just make playlists on their existing official accounts?
I like the idea of having some exclusive videomaking material like artwork, interviews, or brief teasers. It looks like Mod Silent actually got us some exclusive audio clips, which is awesome!
