What if Guthix never gave you world guardian powers?
What kind of God would you be and why?
I personally would be the God of People (#notCommunism), and set up another Edictual barrier and banish gods that did not have my permission to enter, I would transform ash to food (if gods can do that) and mud to water, to give to those that have none.

I would be the God of Freedom, mostly let people do their own thing, encourage them to solve their own problems, and only intervene if I have a personal investment.

EDIT: I'd also be a total boogeyman. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

You know how it is, ascending to godhood is a death sentence in away as there is no afterlife. But that may be all down to how the power mutates the individual as it is absorbed. But I think there is another way. A shield that can deflect divine energy and stop it being absorbed can also safely contain it. Bet ol Guthers never thought of that ^_^ God(ess) of alarming surprises!? The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,

The people on the bottom aren't better people than their cruel masters, if the situation were reversed, they'd be just as horrible. So... if they're on the bottom, they kind of deserve it, and if they're on the top, who cares, they'll be dead in what seems like a week Carn

I wouldn't be that different to my current self, albeit with more power and knowledge. I would encourage people to find beautiful solutions to many problems, and to be nice too.

My symbol would be two windmills crossing over each other like the Manji, advocating love, mercy, strength and intelligence. And it would also mean a harmony between light and dark, as both are needed in life.

It would be not so much Guthix as an amalgamation of the best parts of Seren and Zaros. Let the mortals do their own thing and intervene to help the most needy. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

The God of Annoyance.

Sliske comes off as the God of Chaos for the sake of Chaos (Zamorak would be like Darth Vader to Sliske's the Joker) or at the very least, the God of Trolling.

But I would go straight to things like
- inventing Techno-Yodeling-Polka and Techno-Polka-Yodeling
- inventing a discussion forum to argue whether Techno-Yodeling-Polka or Techno-Polka-Yodeling was more annoying
- pulling down Saradomin's pants while he was battling Zamorak (then tickling Zamorak's tummy)
- changing around everyone's maps during Armadyl's and Bandos' battle so everyone went to the wrong spots to collect divine energy
- then changing the coordinates of where the Divine Focus struck (it missed Bandos but blew up something else, in a funny sort of way like it hits the Chaos Temple near the Goblin Village, or a certain cart.)

If I Ascended, I'd aim to become the God of Truth. Primarily because someone has to find out the truth and the details then act appropriately. And hold those I consider accountable responsible for their actions if need be, among other things.

I might also go Vengeance since, if you can figure out the truth about who is responsible for what, you'll need to more than just hold them accountable. And also determine when it stops being justified and becomes simple, petty revenge.

Should all else fail... God of Pleasure, Hedonism, and Philosophy. Basically, ultimate party god, ultimate thinker. All for the sake of everyone enjoying and enlightening themselves before they die.
