You really need to get over this crusade against Zaros, it doesn't make for good discussion if he's the source of all your life problems. "I stepped on a Lego brick, Zaros must of willed this, He must suffer!!"

It was always going to happen, them waking up, Xenia was the one who accelerated that process and it can't be stopped.

It would be a pretty pointless and boring quest line if they didn't wake up honestly.

And Xenia had nothing to do with Zaros. If anything, it was the Abyssal. The Elder Gods' servant already planned to wake them up. Zaros' priority is ascending so that he would be ready when they do wake up. He knows that this is a race against time. Zaros just wants to make the most of the time we've got.

Absolutely, like your whole planet and everyone and everything you've ever known being devoured by the giant icy jaw that resides beneath it.

I can only surmise that they are upset because the thin veil that they built to sustain an aura of self importance is being pulled away. This notion of being 'elite' or being 'better' because you like Zaros has never been understood by me. I do find it amusing that the very things they lash out against has been seen in the character of their choosing for quite some time now. XD

Zaros is being shown to be more and more of a liar and egomaniac each and every time we see him. I did like how this quest showed his pulling of the strings, telling you what you want to hear when it would value him the most. Tsk Tsk Zaros.
