Each of these spirits sort of remind me of the desert pantheon...

Earth spirits: promotes good health = Het

Water spirit: fertility spirit = Elidinis/Crondis?

Fire: spirit of passion and emotion = Apmeken

Light spirit: wisdom and knowledge = Scabaras

Storm spirit: Confidence and leadership = Tumeken

in short u attacked him over stuff that 1. he didnt say and 2. that doesnt even fit with what he said.

lol no offense but are you just unable to read english? He thanked me for correcting him. Also, are you blind, bc the spiritual mage in Armadyl's Encampment *are* avainsie.

Are they? I thought they were humans with ethereal wings. Their build is different from Aviansie and they're much smaller.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

I'm pretty sure the spiritual warriors of any faction are deceased members of that faction that just refuse to pass on because they have unfinished business and all that jazz - so the Armadyl ones probably are Aviansie, but they're outdated models. That said, I'm not sure if spirits have the same limitations on their use of magic as living beings do, so the spiritual mages miiight be a bad example.
And, the Bird and the Beast mages look to be humans.

That said, there's still Kree's lieutenant mage, and the head warmage from Bird and the Beast, so aviansie undoubtedly DO have their own magic - hopefully we get to learn more about it. They do seem to have a lesser percentage of mages compared to other races and forces, though, but that's probably because they just aren't as common in-game.
Mods pls notice me

Maybe Aviansie need runes and, as such, there are no native mages on Abbinah. Magic could be an all new art they discovered and used on Gielinor, which would explain why there is less magic users. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. Aviansie would definitely need runes for "normal" magic like most higher plane races, it's just that most higher plane races have other means of using different forms magic, like elves with their crystalline magic. So them discovering magic once they got access to runes is definitely a likely answer, though they evidently have spiritual mumbo-jumbo on their homeworld. It's also possible that Armadyl pulled a Bandos and just straight-up gifted magical abilities to a handful of his followers. Mods pls notice me

Yea. They're avaintese, like all of Armadyl's Spirituals, the same way the Bandos' are Orks.

According to the (now removed) God Wars Dungeon page on the website they were "ressurected"* by the gods to keep fighting even after death. It's kind of grim when you think about it. In the God Wars even death might not have saved you, as the gods could have forced you to keep fighting. That is assuming they actually have a soul and aren't just animated corpses.

* Of course we know from Death of Chivalry that even the gods have a hard time fully ressurecting someone, but they're more than capable of necromancy

Edit: I seem to have mistemembered the actum description, odd.

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.
