Ok, before this goes any further, I Vanstrom never said Necrovarus is a liar; he just wants him to be seen as one. Thus, he hasn't said anything that contradicts the lore. However, a thread for explaining the lore to newbies is not the place for theories and expectations.

Sorry for sending your thread to the
afterlife

The legendary creators have been long gone from this world. When they return, they'll be surprised and angered of their creations' new sapience. Meanwhile, the world's most elite, summoned to be its guardians, have abandoned their purpose and intend to plunge the world into chaos. -- Bionicle or RS?

It's okay really hahah. Thanks for the info guys- I did missing presumed I'll look into the lore book. Just seemed ambiguous or something. Like there was more then option on where to go due to all the varying deities or semi-deities. I really gotta get into the lore more, see the whole picture. It seems pretty ambigeous. Yeah.

Aesirwarrior- So it is supposed to depend on what God one follows? Is Saradomin heaven cool?

Better is subjective. Personally, most of them seem quite awful to me.

Limbo is a place where you forget all of your attachments to the world.
It systematically removes things that make you who you are.

Saradominist afterlife is perpetual bliss and contemplation with no conflict whatsoever.
In other words, it's super nice, but super boring.

Zamorakian afterlife is an eternal conflict and power struggle where there is always another position up to strive for.
Honestly, this is one of the afterlives I like most. My main issue with it is that if there is always another throne to strive for no matter how high you climb then your striving and climbing feels ultimately pointless (i.e. by the very nature of infinity, throne 1000 is no closer to the end than throne 1). And, much like Saradomin's afterlife, doing the same routine for all eternity will get old.

Armadylian afterlife is a world where everybody experiences the lives of every other person in said afterlife. Because of this, everybody innately understands one another.
Much like Limbo, the removal of self is just a no go for me.

Bandosian afterlife is an eternal war, with people constantly dying and being reborn. It's very similar to the Zamorakian afterlife, with the big difference of there being no ultimate goal to strive for.
At least Zammy's afterlife has a goal to strive for, even if you can't ever reach it. The Bandosian afterlife is literally constant combat for the sake of constant combat.

The Zarosian afterlife is unknown.
Something that will likely be addressed in the future to one degree or another (i.e. we might learn who shepherds Zarosian souls to it, but not what it ultimately is).

The Brassican afterlife is digestion or decomposition. At least for the vegetables.

The Serenist afterlife is a constant song where each soul plays its own unique part.
This one's just esoteric and weird. Are you still conscious, or does your soul just do its own thing automatically? Are you doing other things while participating in the song, or is the song the only thing going on? Why is the song always in harmony/how is there never a conflict in the song's direction?

Okay, I had arguments for all those points from my past discussions (some of them better than others), but Crow Kid is right, we're trying to help a lore-interested player here. I'm sorry for bringing it up - maybe we can debate this further in private.

So as far as we know canonically, yes, Necrovarus' Notes are canon and haven't yet been refuted. As much as I'd like them to be.
The Asgarnian ale must flow.

The information that we know so far is that when inhabitants of Gielinor die, Death reaps their soul. Death's job is to escort the souls to the River Noumenon. Then, Itchlarin is supposed to guide the souls through the Grim Underworld.

It's interesting to note that the first inhabitant to die in a realm is tasked with the responsibility to escort souls to the Afterlife (apparently there is more than one Underworld). It should be noted that you can reincarnate in Gieilinor because that's what happened to Robert who reincarnated into Bob the Cat.

For the Fremmeniks, they have their own spiritual realm which actually turns out to be the afterlife of where humans were originally from.

I just hope for this year's Halloween we get to explore more of Gielinor's Grim Underworld. Maybe we can petition that to Jagex.

Sidenote: I'm curious to know where the Afterlife realm of the elves (Tarddiad) is or what it's like.
