Okay so as we reformed Seren in the Light Within quest, she creates quite an outburst when asked to talk about Sliske.

"I will not discuss the man who murdered my... my Guthix"
"I have been a pacifist. Refusing to turn my power to destruction..."
"but if i meet him... I will remind him how light can burn"

Yet in Sliske's Endgame, she had the perfect chance to teach him a lesson or enact some form of revenge upon Sliske. I mean come on! We are talking about the man that killed her lover! All we see is "You can stop this madness Sliske" and only sending little crystal icicle attacks at Sliske during their "spectactular fight" alongside Zaros.

I was underwhelmed, i really wish the people behind the quests would realise what they added in previous quests and make sure to actually implement these things in future quests.

Her first concern was securing the Stone so as to prevent another God Wars that could wake the Elders and destroy the universe. So no incinerating at the very start.

And by the time the stone was dealt with, she was temporarily not a god thanks to Sliske's machinations within the maze. And even then she tag teamed with Zaros, someone she vowed to oppose, in order to try and take down Sliske (it's not her fault you handled Sliske before she could.).

Didn't she and Zaros say this didn't effect them?
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

I am somewhat sure it still did, it just didn't effect them from being kicked out (or so they claim, as Jas might have just let them in)

They were able to not be affected by Sliske kicking the rest of the gods out of the maze. They were just as mortal as everybody else in the maze.

Seren and Sliske actually did fight though. It was a two against one fight teaming up with her brother, Zaros. Look closely at the background in this Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/O0YbMF8MVt8?t=12974

That's from the part of the quest with the Wight raid + Greg, Linza, and Nomad trio boss fight. It's hard to make out, but if you look on the minimap, you can see two pairs of yellow dots on each southern corner of the arena representing Zaros and Seren. Also, if you look in game you can see blue crystal shard blasts and green blobs of energy being hurled at Sliske, and Sliske retaliating by hurling orange balls of energy back at both of them.

Sliske managed to fend off both of their waves of energy blasts of two T2 gods because he was constantly being rejuvenated by Jas's Construct. It was not until he pulled us into the shadow realm, locking both Seren and Zaros out, did we destroy the construct and kill him in the end.

You probably didn't see them in the background fighting Sliske or noticed the flying energy blasts because you were too focused on the trio or something :P

So the narrative reason, as mentioned here, is that she did actually fight, Zaros too. They were with you at the end and are the primary reason that Sliske didn't just kill you with a thought.

From a purely satisfaction point of view, it would have made for a far duller experience for the player if Seren had just murdered him immediately and leaving the player standing there as the spare wheel. The Sliske kill really needed to be the player's, not an NPC completely under our control. ;)

Besides, it had to be the player that killed Sliske, otherwise.....oh sorry, spoilers.
