The Luck Potion is, like the name says, a potion that increases luck. The primary ingredient: Crushed Dragonstone.
Drink the potion, your luck goes up.

Now, Wilder Pies. Again, the main ingredient is Crushed Dragonstone.
Eat the pie, your Slayer Level and range Level go up.

Thing is, we're talking about eating a crushed gem. No matter how finely we grind it up ... I'm a little worried about what it might do to our digestive track ... and stomachs ...
I mean, it's not like we go to the restroom in game ... this can't possibly make the situation any better ...

Just chalk it up to World Guardian powers. :P

Besides, lots of weird things go into potions. Red spiders' eggs? Bear fur? Swamp tar? Ashes? Beads? Crushed birds' nests? I could go on...!

Either the potion magic does one hell of a job with whatever goes into it, or the World Guardian has one hell of a stomach. Leaning towards the latter. I mean, they can down whole sharks in a single bite mid-battle (but still can only manage a cake in three!)

People irl can eat gold and drink silver, and you're worried about a bit of crushed up gemstone?

I'd be more worried more about the enhanced luck potion. That thing has onyx bolt tips in it. They're literally made to be sharp and pointy and poke holes in things (unless the other ingredients in the potion dissolved the bolt tips, in which case you can only imagine what it is doing to your character's gastrointestinal tract).

I was literally about to say this.

I think it's less to do with edibility, and more to do with "it wont kill you if you eat it. You'll just poop it out".

Yeah, basically. I mean, there was a guy from France, I think, who was able to eat an entire plane over the course of a couple decades.

So we're the fantasy equivalent of him, if he were combined with college professors, archaic mages, Olympic athletes, and a number of other talents. I mean, at max level, we're as close to 'god status' as any non-god human could possibly be.
Either get lucky or grind trying.

The thing is gold and silver are soft metals (3 and 4 respectively on the Moh scale of hardness, compared to iron which is 5 and happens to be a vital nutrient for us), while gemstones tend to be harder. Gemstones tend to range from 7 to 9 (only diamonds are harder at 10) and can be very brittle, so it could be easy for a shard to cut our windpipes while we swallow them.

That is, of course, unless the stones including bolt tips are ground so well that they become like an effervescent powder that we can just put in a glass of water to drink. Then there might be no problem. :P

Well, it does require 90 Cooking, doesn't it? Maybe that's part of the process -- and a part that only expert cooks can manage.

(Y'know, despite only taking a few ticks in-game. :P )
