I hope that Armadyl didn't have any when he did the drinking contest with her.

Of course not! Braindeath 'rum' is well-known as one of the few things that can kill gods, and Armadyl is too busy being alive to give the stuff a try.

Marimbo, on the other hand, takes "this stuff WILL kill you" as a personal challenge. Turns out she can down gallons of the stuff without so much as breaking a sweat. Apparently it tastes kinda lemony... which is an observation backed up by the one mortal who ever managed to catch a hint of its taste before their liver melted and they had to be rushed to the pirate ship's onboard surgeon, ie. the first mate with a saw.

She generally has at least one keg a day to keep her on her toes. Truly she is the strongest of all the gods.

To welcome the embrace of death (not Harold

Aw, no hugs for Harold? :(

No.
I meant like the difference between "Earth" and "earth".
Earth as a proper noun would be like Death (Harold).
earth as a generic term (ie: rock, ground, dirt) would be like death.

I was aware, yes, just selectively quoting for fun :p

Harold needs his hugs!

Don't forget Spirit Weed.

Also, the alcohol. Do you realize how much alcohol we canonically consume in game (during quests ? we've got a bar crawl for crying out loud!
We had the old wine trick for players to train melee.
I'm sure there's a player or 2 out there that only heal off alcoholic beverages (they say it's probably some sort of self imposed challenge).

But, considering the number of times we've been burned, stabbed, shot, poisoned, killed, blown up, insulted, banged in the head, tortured, electrocuted, drowned, gassed, watch people die, robbed, shot out of cannons, dealt with **** in our backpacks, our house destroyed, kidnapped, blackmailed, conned, jailed, frozen, and so on ... you'd probably turn to drugs and alcohol to cope as well.

And yes, that entire list is canon.
I think the only indignity we haven't had to suffer yet is taking a bath.
you're forgetting the two times we carried around a dead body on our person. And a girl in a barrel

edit: changed boy to body, neither of them were boys

Or going to the toilet? Or getting 99/120/200m xp Cooking without washing our hands once?

Train Cooking directly after making weapon poison to add that extra little something to the taste!

Now I feel sorry for all the cute li'l gnomes I probably gave food poisoning while playing Gnome Restaurant.

Legend has it that a health inspector working for the Gielinorian Society for the Protection of Gnomes (GSPG) took one look at our work, and since then has been unable to get this expression off their face.

There were sinks to wash with. There were ovens you could cook your hands in to kill off the germs. There was a bank to change your gloves if you bothered to use them. Hell, there was even vodka to sanitise with, or salt if you stocked it in your bank after mining those crabs on the Arc. But RPG logic is Enemy No. 1 for all hygienists.
Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

Apparently this thread exists. Well, while I'm here I might as well add a few more examples...

During the Ratcatchers quest, Smokin' Joe in Keldagrim asks you to help clear out some rats in a hole near him. The way you do this is to put some farming weeds in a pot, light the pot, inhale the smoke, and blow the smoke into the rat hole. Strictly speaking, ordinary gardening weeds aren't a drug, but think about it: pot, weeds...

In the Lunar Diplomacy quest, you enter the Dream World by burning a potion-soaked kindling and and inhaling the fumes. Sounds pretty drug-like to me!

This one's notable because it involves a real-world drug: In the Recruitment Drive quest, one of the items you can find in Miss Cheevers' room is a vial of nitrous oxide (a.k.a. "laughing gas" ). It serves no purpose during the quest, but you can choose to inhale it and get a short laughing animation.

(Yes, I'm somewhat of an expert on drugs in RuneScape. Don't judge. >.> )
