*The depth of story and all the gods' connections to as well as views of each other are revealed.

*The interactivity and immersion of the storyline, different outcomes for all players which made it a little confusing but interesting nonetheless and also very detailed.

*Things we would never expect, like racing your god plus seeing their running animation or what happened between Sliske and us.

*Lol that parody of Viggora's perspective of the fight between Zaros and Zamorak. But between us and Sliske instead. How ironic, it was not true for them but for us instead.

Dislikes:

*The head-spinning maze

*The unfair amount of negative light/portrayal Saradomin was given for non-followers. The way they handled this was just blown way out of proportion. Over the top in how they responded to that base of people, you get what I mean?

Im no Sara follower, in fact I was hoping to slay him in endgame, however I think a lot of his negativity can be blamed on the fact that he was mortal once again and therefore nothing more than a grumpy old man the entire quest.
I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.

The way things are sounding, they almost overlooked Children of Mah and applied it to every other god, making Zaros look like a douche. Kidnapping Saradomin's daughter? Really?

From the sounds of things, it was a rescue, not a kidnapping:

Zaros: It is too late to rail against our agreement Saradomin. The terms were clear and your agreement was not coerced.

Saradomin: Then is she...?

Zaros: Your daughter is safe Saradomin. Nex found her on one of the Obsidian Tribunal's worlds. She is safely in my possession now. Give me the stone and she will be returned to you.

Saradomin: Then your price is a small one to pay.

Unless, of course, the Obsidian Tribunal actually works for Saradomin. But given Saradomin doesn't accuse Zaros of taking her from him, Zaros tells him Nex had to find her (Zaros didn't know where she was when their deal was originally made), and Saradomin doesn't say anything about Zaros taking her from him even in post-quest, it certainly seems more like a rescue operation to me (not to say that Zaros did it with the best of reasons, mind you).

And Armadyl's deal seems to have been made to protect his people from some unknown threat (if Seren outmaneuvers Zaros, she promises to fulfill Zaros's obligations in his place) rather than Zaros presenting a threat against them (again, doing the right thing for not the best reasons).

Oh thank Christ for that. Sorry, I didn't quite finish the quest just yet. I let Armadyl beat me and heard about how he would protect the aviansie. It's a bit annoying getting a barrage of faction attacks I should confess, we Zarosians really are getting what was coming to us.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the quest and the buildup (or lack thereof) going into it. I'll just run down a list of criticisms off the top of my head.

- Too many factions were under-developed going into the quest, particularly Saradomin, Armadyl, and the Godless.

- The maze took up way too much of the quest. The game world went completely unutilized and a vast variety of interesting characters and organizations were ignored in favor of a foot race.

- The entire concept of the gods losing their divinity was stupid. It made no logical sense for many of the gods and the player to completely pass up that golden opportunity to kill off a lot of their competition (not that I want any of the major gods killed off at this time).

- Including RNG was an absolutely terrible decision.

- Randomly triggering the full extent of our "world guardian powers" came out of nowhere.

- Key plot points that have been set up throughout the series have gone nowhere. Zaros' secrecy, Nex and Char's assignments, Zamorak finding a way around Sliske's game, Zemouregal's impending betrayal, the fate of Bandos' followers, the formation of the Godless, an actual God War even taking place in the first place, etc. I could go on.

- The other three quests in the series released this year were entirely unnecessary. Creating Gielinor, Nomad and Linza being turned into wights, Sliske stealing a piece of our soul, loosening his grip on the barrows brothers, Zamorak's pact with Zaros, none of it ended up making a difference in the end beyond mechanical functions. They did nothing to actually further the story, and were ultimately a complete waste of resources.

- Sliske's scoreboard and our personal past choices had no real consequences other than locking players out of dialogue.

All of that said, the first segment of the quest was fantastic and included some of the most well-written dialogue in the game. Each character felt unique and interesting. Unfortunately, as a whole, I can't give the quest anymore than a 5/10.

-Death knowing how each of the gods will die. Felt like a major "**** you" if you got attached to any of them.

-Zaros never being able to become an Elder. How anti-climatic. All that foreshadowing and build up and talk about him ascending to Elder godhood for...nothing.
