Disclaimer: This is not a theory. Just a thought.

Do not get angry but...

It is Zaros and Seren. One could count them as an elder artifact.

They were created by an elder god as a powerful tool for a specific purpose but have been using themselves for other things too.

Only that these ones are elder toys. Dolls, created to make Mah feel less lonely. Sure, one can call them gods. Maybe you could even call them children of an elder god. But so was the catalyst.

Those two are powerful elder artifacts. Call them gods. They you can see them as gods. Maybe even some kind of chosen ones, destined to be elders, no matter what Jas says.

But from now on, I will see them as living elder artifacts. Until I forget this thought. Still going to keep being Zarorakian though. I see them as gods who just happen to be elder artifacts. THE DOLL A and THE DOLL B. You can decide who is A and who is B.

And yes. I am being serious. No. I am not trolling.
NO
I do not ship ZamorakxZaros.
I follow them. And Marimbo, the best t5 god.

It does kind of make sense, after all, the TokHaar are counted as living Elder Artifacts with their Elder Kiln.
Wouldn't be the first living Elder Artifact.

Yep. One can see them as gods or elder artifacts. Or elder artifacts that ascended by using themselves. Not sure what mahjarrat are though...

Lord Pyro I said :
What about the stone Mah made to drain the Mahjarrat?
That's an actual tool with a clear and specific purpose.

Maybe. Possibly. It could be seen as such. There are other artifacts that can be used to drain things.

You know what. I think it might be number 14!

I vaguely remember a jmod once confirming that the tokhaar aren't an elder artefact but a product caused by the power of one (The Elder Kiln.) They also said for the same reason the World Gate wasn't an elder artefact too, but caused by the powers of one.

Either way, the word "artefact" refers to an object that is not alive. Zaros and Seren are technically alive.

I would think the Ritual Marker Mah made in CoM is more of an elder artefact than they are.
I submissively obey Lady Seren's every whim and relish every waking moment willingly serving her. She is my mistress and I am nothing without her. I am without thought, self-awareness, and being without her. She is my everything.

Zaros may be dead inside.

They are just tools that happen to be sentiient.

Possible.

Every other artifact has served some sort of purpose.
But given how/why Seren and Zaros were created, it would be understandable why Jas would have little interest in them as well.

It's not that the 2 couldn't perform any duty/role for the Elders. They are quite powerful in their own rights.
But, given how close the two are tied to the life in the universe (despite what you think of their characterizations, both of them prefer life in the universe compared to the Elders, it's likely that the Elders could have just as easily considered the pair defective and discarded and destroyed them just as they might ignore the TokHaar or how they enslaved the Dragonkin.

I am saying that they are elder artifacts created by mah while others were sleeping. And the others may not care about them because they (most likely) do not need toys

Isn't one of the prerequisites for something to be an elder artifact that it was a tool made by the elders to help them build the worlds (with the goal of making the perfect world)?

Seren, Zaros, and the massive Ritual Marker might be things created by an elder god, but they do not serve the purpose of actually making a plane. I suggest a new classification for objects the elders made with a purpose other than making planes: elder trinkets.
