The Falador Massacre is now lore. The Banner of Farradorn vanished from the highest point on Falador Castle at the same time the Kinshra were exiled. There were hints at what happened to it then, and they were in the Faldor archives up until the Falador Massacre. At which point the noble families had been the only ones with any records left, and they fled to the protection of the dwarven mines, one taking the banner with them. Where it remains hidden from the unworthy to this very day.
The salient point here being that NPC chat for this miniquest recognises The Falador Massacre glitch, as a real game lore event!
The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,
Poke monsters with a sharp stick, Then steal anything that isn't nailed down!

Ah, was he referring to that? I thought he was referring to the Edgeville Massacre. I must'** got the context wrong.
You can only fully appreciate a story when you experience it through the eyes of one of its characters.
No, definitely Falador. And the only reason we were not give, the Banner, is we will be far too busy to run just one Kingdom.......
Why run one, when I could run them all. Mwhahahahahaha! . . . . . . . Just kidding

I do not ship ZamorakxZaros.
I follow them. And Marimbo, the best t5 god.
Ah a glorious day in RS history now recognized as canon.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

^It seems to reference both. The Massacre occurs sometime after the original siege of Falador.
Indie Game Developer, Worldbuilder
The Scrying Pool Clan
The lore should be that a psychopath named Durial gathered followers and attacked civilians in Falador in the year 174 of the 5th Age (In my headcannon, 1 IRL year = 1 RS year starting in 169 and ending in 181). Many took refuge in the tunnels underneath Falador, until Durial was eventually caught and killed.
Although, I can see the negative implications this would have. Namely, the sentiment that rule-breaking would end up with yourself being portrayed in the lore. Lol.
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.
I thought it was great to see that. Absolutely hilarious. Of course, Jagex now needs to be on their toes to ensure further bug abuse of this magnitude is never repeated again.
