When Erethdor came for the heart, he took me by surprise. He had quickly conjured a dark magic, a powerful blight that quickly burnt through my bark revealing the grove's greatest treasure. The grove contains a great many treasures, but it's greatest is the heart of the tree. A long long time ago, walkers much larger than I would roam the lands. Huge hulking beings. They were very few, so the stories say... When these creatures got old they'd lay down across valleys to die. Upon their death their bodies would become one with the land. They sprouted forests so vast even I would have trouble traversing. It was one of these very far away groves I went to hide the heart in. Rarely one of these groves will spawn trees like this one, its roots dig so deep they almost pierce the elder halls themselves, being this close to the planets core they soaked the anima for thousands of years. Eventually this tree will be so fed it will in a sense come to life, develop thoughts and can be communed with. With complete power over the land around them they shaped and carved it, the magic of this land led to an all manner of creatures being attracted whilst also spawning its own from the magical bark. Like the wisps you find floating around and the fairies... Though I believe they're simply fond of the mushrooms the land produces. Quaint little things.
My 3 biggest questions here:
Are there other Groves currently ingame?
Is the Gnome's Grand Tree related to the one currently in the Lost Grove (the same kind of tree borne of a dead Walker Grove)?
Are Spirt Trees related to Walkers, their groves, or what-have-you?
