So I've been thinking back.. about Ritual of the Mahjarrat. Thinking of this one moment, which nothing has been done with it. The vision at the end of the quest, where you walk around a burned down version of Draynor. At the end of this vision you are confronted by Strisath, who tells you " This was just a vision of what is to come, stonetoucher - It will begin in Edgeville. Return to reality and await your fate! .

Now, back then, Dragonkin were a very new species to us. We didn't know aaanything about Dragonkin except for their history with Robert. Now 5 years later, I'm thinking, what was the purpose of that "vision"?

How did it even appear in the first place?
As far as I know, I haven't heard anything of Dragonkin being able to mind-control you and show you the future. But I started thinking beyond that, maybe it's the Stone of Jas. You know, the egg that shows you "visions" the moment you touch it. Or perhaps it's even Jas herself, but I don't think Jagex was planning on any Jas storyline that long time ago.. Or were they.. Looking at you, Xau-Tak. Would be interesting if Xau had anything to do with it, since he likes to give people fake dreams and has heavy influence on the player, forgot to mention Tiffy didn't get affected. It would show us how much influence he had had :)

So Is Jagex ignoring this moment that seemed exciting the moment you played it. Or did Jagex take this moment with them and built a storyline upon it.

What do you think?

I think Jagex remembers this vison, they are just waiting until they continue with the dragonkin pillar (which is after the elder god pillar, so......)

Probably this. The most we've had to actually continue with the Dragonkin pillar is One of a Kind and Hero's Welcome. However, both of them will be required for Sliske's Endgame, which will also require Ritual of the Mahjarrat thanks to Children of Mah, so the Endgame could be a good opportunity to follow through on the vision.

Something to note: Both of those continued the God/Elder pillars as well. It's entirely possible that they will keep continuing the Dragonkin story throughout the Elder God quests and even in the Endgame.

Xau-tak and the Queen of Ashes were not on the horizon at that time.
Who knows if even the Elder Gods were planned to be allowed to be awakened (since we really only knew of Jas at the time).

However, prophecies, in any media, have a habit of not happening the way we think.

The Dragonkin showed us a vision of Draynor burning.
The obvious thought at the time: The Dragonkin are going to burn everything to the ground.
Now we know that 1 Elder God is sleeping of the coast. There may be another nearby.
The Queen of Ashes used the Lumbridge Crater bonfire to send an emissary thru.
We don't know what the fallout will be from Sliske's Endgame.

Perhaps Draynor ended up being the first major battlefield between the Dragonkin and an Elder God in their mutual plans of destruction and annihilation.
Or the Dragonkin were fighting a False User (Zamorak, Saradomin, any one of others).

So the matter of who started it now comes into question.

Perhaps, it was the Dragonkin warning the soon to be World Guardian not to meddle in their plans, because frankly, you'd only make things worse.
They might have had a far more effective plan at dealing with the Elder Gods than your puny mortal mind could come up with, especially since they've had ages to prepare.
They don't need to throwing a proverbial monkey wrench in it because ... well ... while they don't care about humans ... you really would and could ... make things far worse.

Or, perhaps, it doesn't mean anything, and it's just the Dragonkin making a threat.

We know it can't be truly prophetic since Sir Tiffy is immortal, and thus could not be killed by Dragonkinbreath.
You never were our brightest star, Khazard. 'Vermin slaughtered like lambs'? What does that even mean?

Immortality directly related to how much tea he is drinking? If he ever runs out of tea, he's doomed?
Or is the tea the only thing keeping him from going on a murderous rampage to any/all threats in Runescape? some sort of medicine like giving lithium to someone who's bipolar?

during the Battle of the Ritual, it was Akrisrae keeping him alive during his fight with Khazard, so we can't conclusively prove that the tea was saving his life.
Yet during the entire battle ... Tiffy wasn't drinking tea.

Then during the Falador Invasion, an army of Black Knights is wandering around the city, yet Sir Tiffy was not minding them, just sitting there sipping his tea.
Even in an alternate reality, the Black Knights won, but he's still there sipping his tea.
Guess if a Black Knight had accidentally knocked over his tea cup ... the Invasion would have been over in 10 seconds. (It could be over sooner, but Tiffy would want them to suffer a little)

Right. During a recent livestream where Mod Ollie said that the Dragonkin wouldn't be in Children of Mah, because there was no natural way to include them in the story, he did say that they could still appear in other stories. They'd be tied to Jas' role in the Elder God pillar, for the the young gods, Zamorak and Saradomin would be at the top of their hit list for being the most prominent False Users.
