I checked facebook, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

However, there was a photo talking about how we can get more cat friends as pets, I think, in Menaphos. It had a NPC dressed up in I would assume an outfit we can get in Menaphos as wow and a Post Cat saying Meow, Meow, Meow.

There was symbols on the wall, but I think they were supposed to be there and the picture was posted on the May 31st.

I also don't think it is something we have to wait for until release date due to the fact that the rewards are for those who discover the answer a day after release, which I don't think is enough time for most.

Well....

I'm thinking it'll be something on Facebook....or maybe something shows up during Shauny's stream at 2000 Game Time.

It appears there is another thread going about the Golden Path that is convinced that 'Akhomet' is Commander A's identity, but also contemplates that the answer itself won't unlock on the sundial until the final clue is dropped (wherever that may be). I seen rumors about such scenarios happening for the previous faction leaders where players couldn't enter the name until a certain time.

While I agree with Big Storms that it's unlikely to release after they drop Menaphos (which I presume will be 12:00 G.M.T. on June 5th), I doubt Jagex is going to offer a large window to enter the name for the June 6th raffle.

As for the hint, a clanmate of mine suggested that the next clue is somehow related to 'Pogchamp' on Facebook (because the player was wearing a Book of Faces in the clue). Apparently he found the actual supposed link for it, but it hasn't uploaded any public information yet.

I checked that cat photo on Facebook too IceIcey, I think that there is a hint somewhere! The character's username is 'ArednammoC' (look in the bottom left corner) which was previously referred to in Jagex videos and streams and is the anagram for Commander A.

And if there's not a hint on that specific photo (as there's no discernable relevant Menaphite text examining with the naked eye), I think it's further suggestive that the next clue will be on Facebook somewhere.

Latest post has different symbols in subscript of Het, translating now

Edit: "the chosen four"

Have fun with that =p
Also, no idea how this has not been posted here or on the wiki yet. Now on to the next step.

Edit2: most likely you need to finish the quiz and get Het (could also been done yesterday). This is going to take a while...

Edit3: solved it
Extend the Menaphos site tag with the aforementioned text. What you find should be familiar, yet still seems to not work...

If you didn't notice, there was a hidden code on the floor in the picture of Akhomet

It's not easy to see here, so you should look at the original image instead.

I think it says this:
Het amok
Find my gnomon in the home of the tome
I open with the gates

Seems like we have to wait until Menaphos is released after all

Ooh I see, and so the path continues =)

Edit: the wiki has updated with another picture found by people:

This is in line with the latest clue: another sundial (gnomon) inside the great library (tome) of Menaphos (home), available at release (when the gates open).

So it seems we are done for now, perhaps even for the entire path

I guess we are waiting till the doors open. Now that I think about it, it does make since to give us a day. Because some people will be getting Lifetime Membership. Which is a lot. Not counting possible Runefest winners.

Sorry I let yall do all the work, but I am glad we seemed to put everything together once we started talking about facebook. I wish the cat image was useful, but guess not :P

It is always nice to do things together as a community rather than keeping things to ourselves for competition sake ;)

Oh two things that might be important:

- There is this loyalty system in the city. Perhaps access to (parts of) the library is restricted depending on how much loyalty you have. Honestly though I hope this is not the case because it would result in people rushing content the first 24 hours.

- We will have a new sundial. There is no reason to expect it to work the same as the current one. The simplest difference could be an entirely new symbol combination. As it is situated in the middle of the library solving the sundial might require going through the lore (lore!!) of the books. Again this might be me overthinking things but it is best to be prepared ;)

I also hope we don't have to rush content in order to finish the Challenge. That is why I was kinda hoping we wouldn't have to wait, but for now that is all we can do.

I usually help with in game stuff like hidden titles and what not, but when everything is scattered on 4 or 5 different sites, it can be a bit discouraging for me.

I do wonder what the Menaphos based item is. I am guessing it is a Scepter or some type of headdress.

So it looks like they are waiting until release day to add the last name to the Sundial, and Jagex has already revealed all the faction leader's names on their Menaphos page as seen here:

https://www.runescape.com/info/menaphos/the-chosen-four

I just want to say
What the Heck Guys?!

Why give us elaborate clues and hints, create instagram/twitter accounts, and other stuff just to reveal all their names now and make us wait till Menaphos comes out. >_<
