Ok, so it looks like Sliske is in our head, so, Question Time!

Was he transferred there by the Siphon?

What do you think he has to gain from being inside?

What did he tell Relomia?

How much do you think he's gonna mess things up in the future with his new toy?

Idk what else... Discuss!

Was he transferred there by the Siphon? I think yes, because Sliske attempted to siphon our soul in Kindred Spirits with the Siphon. His soul, or sentience, might be in our bodies now.

What do you think he has to gain from being inside? Since Sliske is one of our arch-enemies, he most likely wants us to suffer from ruining his plans. I imagine that we may start to see hallucinations made by Sliske or start to get knowledge on the Shadow Realm, about the latter of which I'd be very excited.

What did he tell Relomia? At the end of the quest, Sliske maybe took the control of our bodies and reveal Relomia that he is still alive, inside your mind.

How much do you think he's gonna mess things up in the future with his new toy? Because it is Sliske, I'd expect a lot of trouble; he wanted to wake up the elder gods and make them destroy the universe so he'll cause issues when we are about to prove ourselves to Bik, Wen, and Ful. And as we are seemingly unable to tell about our condition to others, people will blame us for angering the elder gods although Sliske can control us, which would amuse him.

To be honest, I didn't expect Sliske to die in the quest, because I think JMods had mentioned that they will "store" him for future content after Sliske's Endgame. At first the scene where we "killed" him shocked me, I wasn't surprised when I heard his laugh when speaking with Ichtlarin and Death. To some extent, I'm glad he didn't die as I find him as a good villain and the arch-enemy of the World Guardian, or, since he is inside our minds, the dark side of us; malevolent, trickster, and nihilist.

It'll be Batman: Arkham Knight all over again ;)

I want to first state I am waiting before doing the latest quest: I wish to at least know which choices there are to be made to ensure I do not accidentally make ones I regret later on (especially through misinterpretation by Jagex). At the same time I am waiting for some hotfixes for bugs that might otherwise ruin immersion.

All in all though I must say I am displeased with Sliske being in our heads if this turns out to be true. Why? For the same reason I (rightfully) disliked Kindred Spirits: it gives content developers a carte blanche to do whatever they like whilst making us lose control of our character.
Remember the moment in Kindred Spirits where our character did something in Sliske's secret room (where might I add, we got through deus ex machina), yet we the players weren't informed? Turns out that gave the developers a carte blanche for the entire plottwist of Sliske's endgame:
This being us magically bringing out the staff of Armadyl and stabbing Sliske with it.

Now the developers have given themselves an endless amount of carte blanches, because who knows what our character will do when Sliske decides to control it? For me it ruins my sense of control in a story, rather wishing Sliske is dead. And lets just agree that Sliske was a very one dimensional character anyway, so having him actually dead might be a good thing.

This is like SWTOR's KOTFE all over again. I just got rid of THAT lunatic from my head, and now I have Sliske in there.

I'm not sure which is worse, But don't expect him to be quiet.

The fighting scene between sliske and the world guardian seemed to perfectly match the description almost of Zaros and Zamorak fighting then being both impaled on the staff in curse of Zaros lol? The story wasn't true but it became true for us all of a sudden instead?

The world guardian playing the "Zamorak" role and Sliske playing the "Zaros" role.

We already know Sliske'd been doing plenty of research on souls. I'm pretty sure what happened is that he used the staff to transfer a small part of himself into us before he died, then jumped into Relomia's body and took over when he had the chance. I guess this makes poor Relomia the only casualty of this quest because a certain avatar didn't want to be honest with Icthlarin. Oddly, she still has her old dialogue when talking to her about emissary stuff, while more Sliskean dialogue when talking about Endgame, although it's probably oversight.

Weird....try as I might, I can't get any clues of Sliske being in my head. I haven't heard any laughter, gotten no hits that he put himself in me, no post quest dialogue suggesting it, nothing. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

-almost certainly. Begs the question where the staff went though.

-access to all our naughty thoughts. ;)

-I don't think he had to tell her anything. She felt it.

-I suppose a puppet is a kind of toy. I don't see him spoiling that any time soon.
