please. hazeel's a nobody whose days of being the most handsome mahjarrat will soon be over. :P

I'm guessing azzanadra will die. That way I'll hopefully be pleasantly disappointed. Kharshai was just released two seconds ago so I doubt they'll kill him Lynxlynx said :

I am ZAmorakZaros. And I will let neither of them die. Someone maybe will die. But not one of them. Not yet...

What would you do if you had to kill one of them then?
why not both?

They missed the ideal opportunity to kill Azzanadra, which would have been to use him as Zaros' host in FotG (the simalacrums were a major copout). If they actually do kill him off, it'd be the most impactful for it to happen in some sort of self-sacrificial way. At this point, if he does get killed, I think it'd work best if he was killed by Zamorak while stepping in to protect Zaros or if he was killed in the elder halls fighting for Zaros' cause.

I disagree, killing Azzanadra could always be used to show Zaros' emotional side--or see if he even has one at all. He has no real character beyond "serve Zaros" and that's ultimately his purpose in the story. Sliske, Wahisietel...even Akthanakos had their own ambitions and drives beyond just Zaros. Azzanadra has no real ambition or drive, he's an unquestioning servant and nothing else. If he were to die, we wouldn't lose anything. Meanwhile this death could either show us more about Zaros' personality or even unite Zamorak and Zaros together if Mah killed one of each of their most valued followers.

Now...if I'm to be completely honest, Bilrach arguably has the same issue. He is, basically, just a servant of Zamorak who, likewise, doesn't have much of a backstory. Although even then, the fact that his devotion to Zamorak is more competetive makes it more interesting, as well as the fact that he has more ambition. He seems much more knowledgable too, which helps, but I really hope they flesh him out some more. He's still relatively "new" as far as player interaction is concerned, so there's still hope, but Azzanadra has been around for a long time and he has never been anything more than a worthless slave who can't think for himself.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Azzanadra being utterly devoted to Zaros actually does have a point, as he's meant to serve as source of post-quest dialogue in the Elder God pillar, which is why we have the blank observation. As long as Zaros has a role in the Elder God pillar, so does Azzanadra, since he's supposed to find the Elder Halls.

And Char's supposed to be tracking Sliske while Nex "contains the war"....yeah, this means nothing. And honestly, we should be the ones to find it. And if post quest dialogue makes a character immune to death, I suppose Zamorak and Zaros can't die, neither can Bilrach, or Veldaban--wait... Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. Right now Zamorak doesn't have either of those artifacts to assist him.
(Unless Sliske's being his devious self again.)

Sliske was very angry at Zaros afterall. I've suddenly got this image in my head of Zamorak receiving the staff with a note attached:

"Just do what comes naturally. ~Sliske"
"The greatest endeavors are achieved because of their selfless intent"

My point is that the post-quest dialogue is part of an ongoing story. True, Char is doing nothing even though you would think she'd be interested in the Siphon after Kindred Spirits, and Nex trying to contain certain forces means nothing now that there's a completely new God Wars Dungeon, but every option in the Elder Gods poll included the note that Azzanadra would receive post-quest content. That said, I don't expect Azzanadra's role to amount to much beyond something like what we get with Degquest.

I strongly doubt any deity of great consequence will die in the next two quests.

Even the whole showdown between Zamorak and Zaros - it just doesn't make much sense, given all we've learned by now of the character and relative ability of these two gods. Zamorak would gain nothing from it. Zaros has no reason to even consider it.

Now perhaps they'll come up with a compelling reason for it. Or maybe we've just been misinterpreting and this solely refers to the flashback to Zammy's coup. But, the pedigree of this quest's writers does not inspire confidence, and I can't help worry that it will be nothing but a bundle of superfluous, nonsensical fanservice - as we've seen so many times before from this story team.

Here's hoping I'm proven wrong.
